Anyone Else Noticing A Major Difference Post-Patch/Update?

I’m so sick of this cycle. Game plays great out of the box. And then the casual twitter mafia forces an uproar that leads 2k to backtrack on their creation.

This was the best playing 2k probably ever. And then they ruined it overnight.

Game speed and stamina.... sigh....

Props to the devs for creating a great game out of the box. Your work is appreciated by the real basketball fans. You guys deserve a Grammy.

The more realistic pace was amazing for the 3 days it lasted. Brought strategy into the game.

Now it’s the same turbo fest button mashing arcade junk the twitter gang loves.

It must suck to make a masterpiece only for the higher ups to cave in to vocal pressures and tear it all down. Honestly don’t know how you can work for a crap company like 2k.

I'm on Xbox so I haven't gotten the update. This is really disappointing news. I felt the same way you did, 2K20 was a masterpiece. I know Czar and OG and Mike felt that way too but the casual demographic is the biggest and they're killing Sim Nation.

Would it be worth it to uninstall the game and then reinstall offline without any patches? You may have to do some editing and CAP's...do without court, uniform and ACE upgrades but at least you could salvage something out of what you spent???

I have not noticed a major difference to standard games. I have not ventured into MyPark to see the difference there.

I’ve played a few modes. It’s stretched into my career.

Pre-update my player has below average physical traits and no upgraded defensive badges. In practice and games it would SHOW. It was great. Being a bad defender punished you. You’d have to hide. Or if I played my angles and exerted energy I could be around average. But that was a sacrifice. It was perfect.

You had to pick your sprints in transition. Whether it be offense or defense. You were conscious of your stamina. Make the chasedown block effort? It’s gonna cost you on the offensive end. Sprint in transition? That’s gonna pay a toll.

The offensive pace was perfect pre-update. Now everything is way too fast. The rhythmic, strategic pace is gone.

Now my player has extreme lateral quickness even tho I don’t skill wise. Now I’m clamping Fox and Curry even tho I was getting torched by Caruso in practice last night. Now I don’t even get a Gatorade symbol. Now I don’t even have to choose my spots for turbo. The entire game is turbo now. There’s no change of pace due to fatigue. Or choosing spots. Players aren’t jogging back and forth in transition like in real life. Everything is 100% speed. It changes the game. It changes the flow.

It’s a big game changer. I will adjust but it’s so frustrating. It was so perfect and beautiful before hand

It’s a tick quicker and it was a tick too slow imo

It was fineout of box. The little increase isn’t bad at all. 6 games played

I honestly think Offline has not been changed since release.
Which also means the Double Team bug is still in the game.

I have seen a few, but feels toned down. Actually got stripped on a double team I didn’t see coming out of nowhere that was pretty cool to see

I´m currently playing as the Lakers against Portland.
Was hot with Bron from the start and they immediately started to double him everywhere on the floor after 8 Points (4/6 shooting).
However, it was just one quarter though. Still playing the game.

I haven't really noticed a huge difference offline or Play Now Online...nothing that has changed the actual construct of the game. It was a global speed increase, it didn't effect individual attributes, where guy's would lose their advantages.

I get why guy's are upset about changing the game 3 days in though. I agree.

Either way, Mike is toning it down tommorow.
