How to include inactive players in team roster PS4?

For example, say I want to include Matt Thomas of the Toronto Raptors in a game. How do I get him on the team? When I press the Options button on my controller I can only switch the order of the active players.

You can't until they update it - Anfernee Simons isn't on the Blazers active roster in game but definitely is PG2 IRL.

Is this fixed yet? I'm trying to use Ntilikina on the Knicks but can't seem to throw him in my lineup.
