Over a full court distance they should certainly be left for dust, and I'm not saying its not an issue at all.

However, I do think people underestimate the speed you lose when making movements like catching, collecting, preparing to shoot, etc. You can't do that whilst running at full speed and it allows slower players to keep pace with you.

There's some good suggestions in this thread. I'm going to try a few and see what happens.
