NBA wants update players height

Made a thread about this because I wasn’t sure this one existed.. but I see this being a big issue if 2K goes in and makes every player their barefoot height.. 2K’s player heights are scaled on the court to reflect their height in shoes.. adjusting everyone’s height to be shorter than they are on the court ruins player/court scaling and ruins how a current player would look next to a player from the past..

Not necessarily because that probably means he is closer to 6’9 on the floor.

but some players are listed in their without Shoes height in nba.com, others are listed with Shoes.

myles Turner for example Was listed 6-11 since forever and is 6-11 in the game. with the "New" standardized measurement, He still is 6-11. his official height was already without Shoes. that means compared to other players, who have their "with shoe height" in 2k, Turner is. smaller relatively to them.

they need to use standardized heights and then Model their game after that.

Bagley 6'8 was just an announcement error

@JandersonSacBee: Some of you may have noticed Bagley was introduced as a 6-8 forward this morning and Hield was introduced as a 6-3 guard. That was incorrect. I’m told the roster below includes NBA-certified heights for all players. Bagley is still 6-11. Buddy is still 6-4. https://twitter.com/JandersonSacBee/...114624/photo/1

Myles Turner was also drafted at 18/19 years old. It’s very realistic that he’s grown an inch since then.. either way players who get taller in the game isn’t necessarily a bad thing.. my concern is more so the guys that they are going to make shorter in relation to classic players that won’t be edited..

LeBron for example if he’s made to be 6’7 would only barley be taller than Jordan on the floor when in reality he’s a bit taller than Magic Johnson in his shoes... someone like Draymond could wind up shorter than Kobe, etc.

Edit: Turner measured 6’9.75 barefoot before the draft, a littler over 6’11 in shoes.. he’s just grown.
