Bail Out (Badge) is Overpowered when on Silver to HOF

Bail Out (Badge) is Overpowered when on Silver to HOF

Increases the chances of successfully completing a pass from mid-air. Passing out of a jump shot or layup yields fewer errant passes than normal.

The idea is fine in theory but the application is over the top. Guys can now, jump in the air for layups or jumpshots and get caught in the air when a defender is in their way. these guys will almost land and then do a crazy pass in the air where the ball goes thru the defender(s) to their teammate.

See its one thing if you jump in the air to shoot or lay it up and you drop it off when you're at the peak of your jump or close and there's a defender around but not directly in the passing lane. nope. the ball will go thru the defender if it has to in order to make that badge OP. perhaps its a combination of this badge and needle threader. which are stackable. which will make it impossible to tip or steal any players horrible passes when they jump pass it.

I know, someone is going to say go get Interceptor.
But isnt that the problem? They make Badge A and Badge B way over powered. therefore, they need to make Badge C just as overpowered the other direction to counter A & B. all this does is make it so people are running around with a bunch of OP badges.

Jeez everything is overpowered at this point.

Can you like just make one thread and put a spoiler tag then claim that every badge is OP.

Agreed. I understand the OP's frustrations with badges; if you could us a favor and just make one thread for badge discussions then post your points in there so the board doesn't get cluttered, I'd appreciate it.

No, because every badge isnt over powered. but quite a few of them are.

Dimer badge is NOT over powered. It seems to not work correctly. i said SEEMS until someone clarifies how its supposed to actually work.

Dont get all bent out of shape because someone paid quite a bit of money for the game and would like for it to at least work properly and work well in general. If you like the OP badges and half working badges. Fine. dont enter a thread like this. keep it pushing.

I would do that. but the problem is this. Certain issues will get lost within the thread.

Well in some cases he's not lying though...for example the fancy footwork badge is so OP everyone in park is equipping this and hopstepping into the paint for an easy layup or dunk....its slick unguardable lol

Yeah this is the problem. The badges are so far out of hand, they are so stupid. They need to be concepts that are not covered by ratings at all. They're just poorly implemented.

All badges are OP in the right hands going up against bad players.

Well what did we expect? A ton of new badges, 2k does no testing at all = no balancing = op stuff left and right...

The badge postmove lockdown can counter that. Just like how the TC mentioned theres a badge A and a Badge B to counter it.

wrong/ because all badges dont even work properly as described in their description Dimer being one of them.

but lets go back to my original issue.

                          walk with me:

I'll give you 2 offensive badges and i'll try to find the defensive counter badge(s).

because these badges are stackable. you will need no less than 2 defensive badges to fully counter the offensive badges or one defensive badge would have to be 2X powered. Which would then mean if said offensive guy only has one of those badges vs that defensive badge he will get destroyed due to that one lone defensive badge being OP because its awaiting for people with 2 offensive stacked badges..You following?

Lets use a passing rating of: 80
Offensive badges: Bail out (HOF) + thread the needle(HOF)

                          Counter:
                          Steals rating: 80
                          Defensive Badge(s): Interceptor (HOF)

To my knowledge there is no other defensive badge that is supposed to tip or steal passes. pick pocket is not it. thats for stealing from ball handlers.

So how are you to defend against those 2 stacked badges when you clearly see guys jumping in the air and being cut off from their initial idea of shooting or laying it up. and they try to force the ball thru multiple defenders which you keep seeing clearly going thru your body or thru your hands as the defense?

Tru, please answer the question with actual badge answers.

excellent answer. I'll be tossing that on my big the next defensive badge i get. actually the next two. just to see what happens. i'll report back if its working as described.

question Itchy, when you have say a comparable Postmove Lockdown badge vs the other guys fancy footwork aka hopstepper badge. what does that Post lockdown do? does it stop that hopstep cold in its tracks and not allow your defender to be pushed?

or does it make the guy drop the ball or fumble it?

                            just asking.

assuming that both badges are on par with one another. you are correct, that is balance.
BUUUUT. if either is op therefore making the other have to be OP to ......Balance it out. I still say thats not a good look. because non of these badges should be OP period. people should not need that much HELP/Assistance to make moves or play defense. shame on you if you do. lol.

and here's the thing, if they are just hell bent on doing it that way to make sure beginners have a chance. Then its time for them to implement it in a different way. use the old handicap method. depending on your stats in certain areas (everyone has their VIP stats of what they do, success/failures). if someone sucks at defense then turn his/her stuff up a bit so they can Kind of hang with guys who dont need all that help. for the people that are great in certain areas. do not give them badges at all. they dont need them.

this is only IF 2k realllly wants the game to be made so that beginners can survive a bit with 2k lifers.

I dont personally want that, but that would make more logical sense than just tossing out a bunch of OP badges.
