If anyone can confirm...

1.) Is the update live? I don't see any of the players updated in my Xbox

2.) When it is live. Can someone confirm or deny this is available for customer rosters...

Confirm if the PREVIOUS player update on December 21st (montrez, Kyrie, harkless)

still are not available for custom rosters (myleague)

It is live on Xbox, the players listed in the patch notes are included on custom rosters but not all are actually updated for some weird reason and the old likeness update still doesn’t apply to a custom roster

Yeah, its a shame, it has come to this, its been this way for a few yrs now, so its likely not going to change unfortunately. I wish I was more handy with a PC, because if I was, I would just go the route of text sim basketball, because Wolverine studios, puts out a good text sim college and NBA game. Problem is they dont have any license so you dont get real teams. Ive tried figuring out how to DL the custom files, but its just too complicated for me. Im PC illiterate, when it comes to that kind of stuff. If Wolverine studios ever gets to the point of OOTP where they get team license's, my PS4 will go up for sale, because basketball and baseball, is all I play, and on the rare occasion I will buy Madden.
Basically right now my PS4 is only used for NBA2k, because its the only game I buy every yr, but I think my gaming days on consoles is coming to a end. As I dont see My League ever getting fixed, its been screwed up since the days when it was called Association mode, as it has the same exact issues every yr, which shows they dont care about that side of the game anymore.
I think there is a few devs who would probably like to see a true NBA simulation, but the higher ups, only care about the fantasy gimic modes online, because of all the extra cash they make from the micro transactions. It is what it is, and after all it is a business, so I get why the focus and effort is put into the online modes.

Eh, I get the disappointment for sure. But I don't agree with the last part because if you're a big NBA fan and have generally enjoyed the gameplay of the series, IMO it's still well worth it each year even with the issues and lack of attention towards certain modes.

I'm personally more of a college basketball fan but watch both. Unfortunately we no longer have a college basketball option so I try to dive into NBA 2k as much as possible but there lack of support for offline modes and giving us a half finished game every year that needs a lot of massive patches is ridiculous. It's not like we are getting the game at a discount or something. I pay my $60 every year just like the online guys do and I want some love when patch time comes too
