It's not the same.

A game to 21 is quicker that having to stay in a game when your teammates (randoms) have a low IQ and play like it's a MyCareer game on pro.

You can't leave without penalty and if a 60 overall joins the lockeroom, you have to join a friends neighborhood just to get out of that session.

Imagine 10 randoms being on the court at the same time. It'd be atrocious.

The 4v4 court in 2k16 did pretty well at times but nowadays I don't think it'd be the same. The 4v4 double rep event pops up from time to time and the courts be super dead. I seriously doubt if people would want a bunch of 5v5 courts in the park. 3v3 is perfectly fine.

I remember the 5 v 5 courts on 2k14 and the Rec in 2k15. Unless teams were wearing all the same colours it was a mess. You could hardly ever find your match up. Can you imagine the triple screens top of the key and then tracking your match up through all that? Eww

The 4v4 courts were okay in 16-17. But the court was too skinny and the weird number of players led to weird line ups.

Rec is definitely better in jerseys.
