Anyone else gone back to '19?

I bought 2K20 when it first came out but I've ditched it and gone back to 2K19. Never done that with a sports game before.

To me, it literally just felt like a roster update with super slow gameplay. I'm not mad though because I'm having fun getting back into '19.

As much as we moan about the game, it does have a level of customisation unparalleled in other sports franchises. You'd never be able to load up an old Fifa or Madden and still have a realistic experience, even just one edition behind.

Who else is back on 2K19 and what will 2K21 need to get you to try again?

I expect 2k21 on ps4 to be the same. However, i HOPE the ps5 version is VASTLY different. But i won't hold my breath.

I've been bouncing back and forth consistently between the two games which is a first for me. No real reason. Some days, I prefer the gameplay of NBA 2K19, and some days I prefer the gameplay of NBA 2K20. Well...I kinda liked the Pacers' roster (Classic and current) better in NBA 2K19. The classic Pacers team still had David West.

I am on the same page as well. It's not normal (trying) to play a game for 4-5 months and not be able to figure out how to make it enjoyable. That means it's not a good game.
Going back to 2k19, i saw a more natural movemet, the players have weight moving across the floor, it is a more realistic experience.
And i got rid of a list of annoying things of 2k20 (green splash, take over icons, superhuman badges, unnessesary scrolling up-down when editing sliders for user/cpu among others)

I go back and forth but 19 has been getting more attention from me last few weeks. From a Roster editing standpoint the Open, Moving and Contested Mid Range and 3pt Ratings is alot better than the Badges they added in 20.

That's where I'm at too. And the play calling. And the freaking green release is gone.

I did the classic pacers` roster and 60 new classic teams. Maybe you like it.

I'm a Play Now Online player, so I'm kinda stuck with the NBA 2K rosters .

I did, 2k19 is a really solid product from 2k. Really feels like they actually put a ton of effort that year. I exclusively play 2k19 now and its enjoyable every time i boot it up while 2k20 doesn't have that same feeling...

I'm surprised so many people have gone back to '19 actually.

It just feels smoother to me. Less clunky and more free flowing. Though obviously it's still far from perfect.

I'm looking forward to the next generation.

Count me in as another player still playing NBA2K19.

I honestly think the best time to play these games is after they have been out a year. By then, all the tuning, roster editing and slider adjusting is completed.

I was considering seeing if I could play 80 seasons in NBA2K19 MyLeague lol!

Nah 2k19 was absolutely awful. 2K20 5v5 game play wise is the second best 2K we have this Gen

I pretty much have the exact opposite opinion. Why don't you like 19? What do you prefer about 20?

thats a funny question because the same people who stated they went back to 19’ here had nothing good to say about the game last year.
