Select player for pick and roll

How can I select the pick player I want for a pick and roll. I found online that says I should tap L1 and then select player, but tapping L1 pulls up quick playbook. If I hold L1 down it automatically selects player for pick. Also can I select any player for pick it just a PF or C?

you need to tap L1 and then HOLD the Player Icon. you can do that with every Player, Not just pf or c. Also if you tap r1 after callijg for the Pick, you can Change between Pick and roll and Pick and Pop.

Tap L1, Tap R1 (brings up player icons). Hold the icon button of the player you want to set the screen.

All game controls are listed in the 2KU section.

R1 is listed as an option at the bottom of the quick play menu

Because they changed it to this. I haven't used this all year. It was something I used all the time for the 4 years. Why change it? SMH... It's too many button when the shot clock is running down. Makes no damn sense to change it.

especially as it sometimes does Not react Quick enough to your Button Presses.more than once i quickly Pressed L1, r1 and then wanted to select a Player Icon just to have it ignore the r1 Button press because it came too fast.

Makes no sense at all. I hope the Dev's see a thread with a title about this. The easier we can choose different players to set picks the more variety we'll experience in gameplay. Those L1 quick plays were well intended but they shouldn't complicate our manually selected pick and roll game with all four potential screeners.

OMG that's by far the worst part about this change. Is that even if you get all the button presses correctly. You'll be stuck there. I came to a one earlier on. Where I'd just run pick and roll offense all game. If they don't change it back or at least give us the option. I'm not buying it next year. Green Release and Play calling.... That's literally why I stopped playing.

I'm on the fence about the favorite plays. First it was released without explaining a damn thing. Especially about auto play calling. I think the concept works. But it's flawed for the bench players. And once you assign it to a player. You can't call it for another player on the floor. One of the biggest problems with three new play calling is attacking switches. If a guard switches on to a big. There isn't a clean and quick way to get your big in the post quickly. That sucks.
