Is 2k serious about shutting down online play today between 1 PM and 3 PM CT? In my timezone, that is 7-9 PM, so basically the time, when everyone wants to play. We have really big problems in staying in the timeline of our online league, as we constantly face server problems that cause disconnects and laggy connections and now they prohibit us further in shutting down their servers?!

If they could improve server stability till 2k21 releases in a few months, you couldn't sacrifice a couple hours of doing something else for a couple hours?

IF they would actually improve server stability, of course I could sacrifice. But I highly doubt that they will improve anything. I am part of this whole Online League thing since 2010 now and it feels like stability gets worse every year with NBA 2k20 being the lowpoint of all game iterations.

They should shut down online play until reformatting the sorry *** platform they put out there.

Every. Single. MMORPG. Ever. Has downtime for maintenance. Matter of fact, this is the first I've EVER heard of 2k doing any server maintenance. I'd wager that server stability may have been much improved over the years of they DID routine maintenance.

Oof, I was watching this thread and letting it go because I thought people knew.

It's a protest action, and not only 2K, but RDR2 and GTAO are down for a couple hours as well. Everything under the T2 blanket. It's not outwardly stated maintenance, although it wouldn't really surprise me if they used the downtime to do a little bit of back-end work.
