I wouldn't say that there's no more neighborhood based on that. More likely they're just re-designing it or expanding it and changing the name.

Seems like the only real concrete thing we can take from it is the dates: cover athlete announced next month, current gen version comes out in September, and next gen will be coming out in the holiday season.

I'm hopeful (maybe too hopeful) that the "Major in ______ or make a splash _____" is a reference to branching storylines...going to college or going to the G-League

If all that is correct I'm sure the story line for the career mode is go to college or the G league.

It does seem like they have bigger emphasis on college. Could be situation where you have 2 paths either College or G League. Hopefully not the common arrogant underdog/comeback story and not just a story that only lasts until you get to NBA.

It'll make sense to go after Zion for cover. Even though he hasn't had much time in league, he is still one of most marketable players. And heading into new generation of consoles, he fits the mold of a new up and coming player

That College or G-league option getting me all excited. The Major in __ part probably means we can stay extra years in college.

I think the new perspective is either be a coach, or Female myplayers and the WNBA.

Any guesses what the neighborhood will be called now?

I'm going to guess city? Town? Village? Maybe it's something simple and stupid like Neighborhoods.

I'm gonna guess that you can either go the traditional route and attend college maybe even with some blue bloods like Duke, North Carolina or Kentucky before getting drafted. Or you could go that selected G League route that a few top players were going to do before Covid detailed things. Maybe each path has pros and cons. Go to college and do well then you may be more marketable; go G League and develop a little faster.

Weren't there like 3 different distinct courts at one point? One based on the Mid West, Rivet City or something. One Vince Beach like court and one New York-ish? I cant recall them exactly but they may have blown those out to their own neighborhoods. We've heard a lot about faster load times and SSDs so traveling to and from them could be faster.

Most sports games really lack in crowd noise and overall atmosphere. If done correctly, it would be a real game changer for immersion.

I agree.

With 3D audio and Dolby Atmos, I would like to see crowd noise to a big jump. That along with better lighting, higher quality fan renders, fan animations & posters. Things like that would add immersion
