Need a complete guide to MyLeague

I am mainly an MyCareer/MyTeam player, but for the last couple of weeks but I need to know how things work

I have a couple of questions I hope for y'all to answer:
Whenever I do prospect scouting, what should I be looking for in them?
What are Sim points of emphasis and what should I set them to for wins?
Do custom rotations matter in simmed games?

    Anything info given is appreciated

Not aware of any all-purpose 'money' settings for these. I think it depends on the team construction. The settings impact stats though. I haven't paid attention to the exact correlations of everything, but one example is "Shoot at Will" will result in more FGA. Also, setting your scoring options has the expected effect of making those guys shoot more. Just FYI, anecdotally, if you set a 1st Option but leave the 2nd & 3rd unspecified, that 1st Option will shoot more than if you do specify a 2nd & 3rd Option. For instance, say you set Harden as the 1st Option, leave the 2nd & 3rd Options unspecified, then he goes on to average 20 FGA/game. You might assume that setting Westbrook as 2 and Covington as 3 would not affect Harden, but rather just distribute the remaining shots more to Westbrook and Covington. My observation has been that they would diminish Harden's FGA/game though. I say this just because on teams with a true alpha dog scorer, you may not want to set all 3 scoring options, just #1.

FWIW, and I imagine a lot of OS'ers do this, I personally just let the coach's points of emphasis be what they will be, based on the custom roster being used (for instance, the SimWorld settings). I think most of us who are into MyLeague like using real-world coaches who have a real-life way of running the team, so the way of trying a new system would be to fire the coach and hire one with different settings.

EDIT: Oh, and this may not be the case with every roster, but for mine, I set every team as "Play Through Star," otherwise the stars don't shoot enough.

Do custom rotations matter in simmed games?
They do take effect, I believe (or at least the active players / minutes played in box scores seems to suggest as much). Personally though I think it's better to let the CPU handle that for simmed games. Teams perform more in line with how good they seem and the overall team stats seem more human. For played games I like to do manual substitutions for myself, with an Advanced Rotation for the CPU.

I would advise you to set all rotations for every team or else the AI will only use a small amount of their players and will focus solely on the OVR rating. So that could mean that they have a 80 rated starting C and a 79 rated backup C and the backup will only play 15 minutes then, though being basically equal as good as the starter.

My reason for setting to Auto for simmed games is actually precisely because I see teams using more of their rosters that way. If I manually set the rotations, there’s a good chance there will never be a rational time to give the 13th man a run, but if you sim a season then ultimately he’ll get a few minutes here and there like in real life, at least with the coaching settings I use.

As for weird minutes situations due to OVR, at the beginning of the season when rosters are set, I go through and make sure that by auto-rotating I get reasonable results, and if not I adjust Intangibles. Never had trouble getting realistic minutes that way.
