NBA 2K21 - The Little Things

I have not gotten much commentary since turning it off due to repetitiveness up through 2K19; I turned it back on in 2K20 after a 15-month hiatus. I knew that guests had been added, but assumed it would not add much due to lack of creativity.

In 2k21, Shaq was courtside commentating the first half; he finished before halftime and mentioned returning upstairs to the "TNT" show. I was pleasantly surprised that the show was indeed in the arena, and there was dialogue referencing Shaq's first half location.

This reminds me of the detail Skyrim has. I hope/wish MyLeague could get more of this type of thing: Details make MyLeague come alive. In the last poll I saw, MyLeague is number two behind MyPlayer in popularity. I hope that part of the Dev Team can get more funding so they can do more creatively to make a living, breathing world. The gameplay and rosters are a given, but roleplaying game creativity really breathes life into this mode.

Gentlemen, for the next 2k what should they do in order to keep our attention? I sold 2k20 today and been playing 19 for about 3 months. I just can’t deal with the bs of 20. Now what should 2k sports do for next years 2k in order to keep our attention and keep us satisfied with the game?

Terrence Ross just attempted a shovel shot out of an isolation drive against a tall but agile Serge Ibaka. Kind of like a wrong-foot layup, the timing of it appeared to throw Ibaka's shot-blocking off, though he won the possession by forcing a miss.

Blew my mind... cannot wait to see how many context animations are stored in next-gen.

In the next gen version, you can see the models of whoever is broadcasting the game (ie, Kevin Harlan, Greg Anthony, Doris Burke etc. ) sitting at the scorer’s desk.

LeBron does his stare dribble where he looks at the ball. It makes the animation so much better if you shoot right afterwards.
