The Simple Solution To Green Release IMO

I have said this over and over but I'm just me and I have no super duper clout or a gaming channel, yet.

Shot timing meters or just shot timing period, should gauge if you are releasing at the right point.

A green release SHOULD basically mean, ... Good Job, you have perfectly released your shot and will not be penalized in that part of the equation. However, we will now take into account the range of the shot, how contested it was, your badges/attributes, hotspots, placebo boosts and takeover meter progress to calculate a realistic make percentage for said shot. Let's see the result.

Greens shouldn't mean it's definitely going so nobody crash, just get back. Even in that little window of knowing the shot is going in, a piece of the game and realism is missing. Imagine if a player stopped playing or played as if the shot is going in anyway once the ball is released in the NBA. Heck NCAA or High School for that matter.

Even with a hack, one hundred percent shooting shouldn't be possible. There are people who can shoot thirty for thirty from the three point line if you leave them open in a Rec Game, EVERY GAME! Who can do this in real life? A ninety-nine three point attribute should yield whatever the highest three point shooting percentage was in the NBA the previous year or a little above it unless it's a park game. Heck, make the percentage fluctuate during the season to match.

I'll leave with this, in 2k20 I shot EIGHT for FIFTEEN from the arc and I was deemed "TRASH" by the random teammates I was assigned to play with because, I MISSED SEVEN SHOTS. I did excellent on defense and carried us defensively outside of the paint while adding SIX assist at the small forward position but I was TRASH.
Playing NBA 2K feels like a job that pays minimum wage and then cuts your pay when you get your Bill's right to make it even harder to succeed. I do not like this game but it's the only one in town.

At cheese, I'm trash. At basketball, I'm great!

Green release should be a 60% make at 99 three, and evry HOF badge in the game and wide open. You can green for the BEST PERCENTAGE POSSIBLE, but it should still be a dice roll every time.

70 rating should cap at .33 MAX.

anything under a 70 should be a bad shot.

It's obviously not most people here, but I feel like there is this silent majority elsewhere who don't really want the NBA spaces to be realistic either, because what would be the rationale otherwise for what has happened to the NBA modes. Stuff like greens for Users and CPU being on by default on PNO and offline are clear indicators of that, IMO.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I Just don’t see the end goal of alienating a portion albeit a small portion of your community.

It’s not like they don’t know we exist mike is on here. They just choose to ignore us maybe because we buy the game once and don’t continue with micro transactions. They want to box us out

I think you're giving yourself too much credit. Even if you spent your entire life savings, thats a drop in the bucket to all of the players they have.

Until the MAJORITY of people that buy the game have the same expectations we do, the game will never change. So... Since we're going to continue to be the minority, it's never gonna change.

HOWEVER, there is always next gen.

2k has a real opportunity here. They can set the tone early. With the power of the new consoles, they could make the game so realistic it may be indistinguishable from live TV. I remember when i first saw the PS4 version, i thought it was a live broadcast. That magic can happen again.

What it's going to take is the ENTIRE company from top to bottom has to decide they're going to buck the trend.

With Madden ratings at an all time low, they could corner the SPORTS market by blowing away the competition.

I truly believe if the game is just SO GOOD the kids will adjust.

If everyone is just BLOWN AWAY by the level of detail and gameplay, i think it will draw in an even bigger crowd. More people will buy and play than they already do.

Look at God Of War and Spiderman. Those games are console sellers. The games are SO good that people will shell out almost $500 to play it!

If they just WOW the crap out of everyone, people will buy it.

The thing is... This whole "tweaking every couple of weeks" thing gotts go.

If they release a great game, DONT TOUCH IT!

Obviously, new console will bring new problems. They will patch it just as much. But dont CHANGE THE ENTIRE GAME the first month it's out.

                          Just make it rating dependable.

Either you cant green it unless you have a certain rating or you can green it but if wont fall consistent unless you have the proper
                          Rating.

With a 70 3pnt you cant green it or you can but you need to green it to have 20% chance of making it.

Come on man. Why do we even have ratings if they dont matter as timing/aiming dominates EVERY OTHER ASPECT of the game? I want to win or loose because I made better or worse decisions than my opponent. Not because i aimed/Timed better or worse than him.

thats the next point. make timing/aiming matter of course but to a far less extent. make it Not a range of hitting 0% to 100% on a wide open shot with a Good shooter depending on aiming/Timing but make it like 25% and 45%.
