This is a thread detailing the career of my created player, Brad Soto. I started this career mode back in July and it ended this past September, and I wanted to make a thread about it because it just shows the world building capabilities of a MyLeague.

- Yes, this career was through MyLeague and not MyCareer. It was a player lock career which I find to be much more fun than actual MyCareer.

- I controlled all 30 teams during the offseasons but only controlled my team during the season. I also had no say in any trades or signings that my team made to truly get that player experience.

- I've done these career things before but have never made a thread about them. I had a player in 2k18 named Quincy Macklin that was a beast and had an incredible career as well, so it's safe to say I know what I'm doing with these career modes at this point.

5 star recruit Brad Soto commits to the University of Tulsa

Brad Soto, one of the nation's top uncommitted seniors, has committed to Tulsa.

Soto made the announcement via press conference at Hinsdale South High School in Darien, IL.

Soto, a 6-foot-7 point guard, is No. 15 in the ESPN 100 but was the only top-15 prospect still uncommitted entering the late signing period. He took official visits to three schools: Illinois, Arizona and Tulsa. Illinois was hoping to convince Soto, a Chicago native, to come back home for college, while Arizona was banking on Soto's relationship with coach Sean Miller from USA Basketball. Tulsa, meanwhile, impressed Soto on his visit to the school.

"I love Coach [Frank] Haith," Soto told ESPN.com last month at the McDonald's All American Game. "I love the way he coaches his players. Pushes them, makes them better. When I took my official visit there, I got this real good feeling that they were all about family. You could really trust people there."

Soto, who spent his four seasons of high school basketball at Hinsdale South (Illinois), might make the biggest impact of any freshman in college basketball next season. What sets him apart is his vision and athleticism. Soto is a terrific passer who uses his height and athleticism to find open teammates, but he also is an adept scorer and is very difficult to contain in transition. ESPN's Chad Ford has Soto at number 9 in his very early 2018 Big Board.

Soto scores 22 in Tulsa debut vs. Lamar

Brad Soto hardly needed an introduction as he made his debut for Tulsa on Friday night. Soto sat near the top of the rankings for his high school class since those rankings first formed. In just one game, he confirmed his prodigious reputation and took his place as one of college basketball’s most dangerous freshmen.

Soto popped off for 22 points, 9 rebounds, and one assist on 11-of-13 shooting from the field against Lamar in a 78-60 win to start the new college hoops season. With the necessary caveat that this was only night one, it already feels right to draw certain conclusions.

Golden Hurricane enter the second half of the season with a win over UConn

The chances of the Golden Hurricane coming away with a win Wednesday night at home to the UConn Huskies looked great, even before the opening tip.

Entering the game, the Huskies traveled to Tulsa riding a 3-game losing streak. Tulsa is far and away the best team in the AAC, and their unique brand of basketball resembling the 1995 Magic has many experts picking them to be Final Four-bound.

Tulsa enters the second half of the season with a 13-2 record, those two losses coming on nights where star freshman guard Brad Soto sat out due to a nagging knee injury. The Golden Hurricane are clear favorites to win the conference, and barring a second-half slump, they could also be favorites to win their first NCAA Championship in school history.
