Hey all, Jeff Schrader, here again. I hope that folks are loving MyNBA and staying safe. As always we love to hear from everyone, so I'm starting up another wish list thread!

Please feel free to post any of your feature requests for any MyNBA / franchise related features for NBA 2K22 in this thread.

As noted previously, please try to focus specifically on features and feedback over questions, as I very likely won't be able to do much Q&A in this thread directly.

We're hitting the ground running and already trying to keep 2K22 in mind as we knock out 2K21 launch issues, so definitely the sooner we can hear back from folks the better. I look forward to seeing what folks come up with!

Give coaches their own tendencies. So when they switch teams they play the way that coach wants.

Also if possible work on the substitution and timeout logic. And dynamic tendencies. Players go up and down with productivity and that should show in the tendencies as well

Hey, just a few things I'd like to be added for increased realism

- More logics in the Free Agent signing behavior

Giannis shouldn't sign for a team like OKC... if a player like Giannis is available, teams should try to create cap space to acquire him, make moves with rebuilding teams... Older players, especially those without a ring, should agree to lower wages for the sake of winning, while others should want to maximize the money they make. The Football Manager contract negotiations could be a good reference for finding a realistic system.

- More balanced overalls throughout the years

A constant issue of the MyLeague and MyGM modes on current (last) gen has been that of the explosion of high overall players in just a few years of time. This gets to the point where the end of the bench players are in the high 70s... There should be a balance to be kept to keep things realistic. Ratings should also evolve with playing time and good performances, and that could be a solution to avoid this overflow of high ratings.

- More realistic draft classes & scouting system

The draft classes on 2K are enjoyable to play with, but most people have used created draft classes or fictional ones shared by the community because of the inaccuracy of generated draft classes. Those should have way more scenario-based approaches, every player should be distinguishable - through a revamped scouting system.
The revamped scouting system should include things like scout observations with more and more details on what a player is and projects to be, with a clear margin for error and no way to see a player's attributes before you actually draft them (you could make it an option to mask attributes). I would also like the in-game workouts to be back, to try and see players in real time before drafting them.

- More intelligent trades from the AI

- New interactions with the staff/players, etc. The current interactions date back to the very introduction of NBA 2K on last gen, it would be good, once again, to look at what Football Manager has done on this theme.

- Creating an in-season buyout market and generally speaking, making it possible for star players to request trades and for any player to asked to be released

- Ending the off-season camps and replace them with a more realistic system of off-season training, with attribute and badge boosts. This should also be more random, you shouldn't be able to choose which player gets suddenly better. You could create a system where training coaches are sent for certain players in priority, giving them more chances to develop throughout the summer, but leave a random factor to make things more realistic.

- Creating a real coaching market, having a real coaches Free Agent pool, and making coaches matter more in the game overall.

- A clearer Free Agency, with more explanations on the different exceptions and how to optimize them like teams do in real life.

- Finally, improving rotations in the game. That goes for gameplay and MyNBA simulations, having more realistic rotations with less mass replacements, more scenario-based

Would like to see more crowd involvement. If the PA is playing a defensive chant song you hear the crowd saying it but you don’t see anyone saying it or moving around.

Negative badges for players like they have for staff. Ex: A player may tend to plead with a ref after a miss shot for a foul and won’t get back on defense or a player will go cold if they don’t get touches etc

Feature on defensive setting where you place your best defender on a player you want to guard and he subs in and out whenever that player does as well. When time outs are called you aren’t notified who is checking in/out from the opponent until the time out is over.

Past Nba moments like the Jordan moments on Nba2k12 (how is this still not in 2k!?) lol

Play creator or free lance creator

More jump shot fouls and deflected passes

- Retro Filters
- More Classic Teams
- Letting Raz0r overhaul all legends in the game
- Halftime and post game interviews for legends (they can find voiceovers for every star post-1980)
- Fixing all courts and colors. For current and classic teams
- Multiple Scoreboards
- Multiple Presentations
- New Create a Player system
- Removal of Face Scan app
- Ability to upload faces/tattoos with images (ala WWE 2k) for MyPlayers and regular CAPs
- More court creation customization
- Making created teams a stand-alone feature for Play Now
- Hair Physics for all hair (no way should a guy like Steve Nash’s hair be stiff)
- Different lighting settings
- Bringing back the Situation feature where you can start a game with 2 seconds left in the 4th
- A Jordan Challenge mode centered around Kobe or LeBron

*sorry I know a lot of this doesn’t relate to MyNBA just throwing it out there anyway since the thread is sticked*

Follow up:

I was thinking maybe a shot contest or close out on shot meter to where you’ll have an optimal chance of contesting a shot and if you’re way off it would result in a shooting foul but showing contact with the the hand/body I don’t know how you all will make that happen

i would love to see that we are able to make player faces by the game scaninng pictures...
it would be great addition so that we can make realistic faces for all kind of rosters (fiba international,euroleague,european leagues...etc)
i remember those options on NHL 2003 i think (on PC)...if it was possible 17 years ago ..why it isnt possible now?


also why can't we use our face scans with created players? i dont play my career, but i wanna have my self in mynba mode playing in nba team....

Bring back voice activated plays
Play and navigate in plays menu is too hard
Let us just say fe: "quick 13 give"

I've been dream of a create a player portrait mode for years, players have good portraits at launch but get traded one time and they look like crap.

My ideal situation would be to make it an optional option for mynba so that people can really feel like they can promote their own team and make it a photo studio location in mycareer so that your myplayer doesn't stand out compared to others.

if you guys devellop it well enough you can add a feature that makes random portraits after trades so they keep showing up in their new unis, but making it an option for players who want to change it

I'd like more options to customize the playoff format like changing the amount of teams to 6 in a 12 team league for example. (Conference Winners get a bye) I think it would be cool to be able to choose any amount of teams that make the playoffs.

It would be amazing if they could remove those stupid green light animations that NO ONE ever does in real games. It’s just so ridiculous that it’s even in the game...

everyone agrees with it except youtubers and little kids, and because of them we get this stupic arcadic BS!
