I must admit - AI is most of the time ok with HelpD (though with a bunch of user interventions, naturally)

But its a total mayhem when attacking teams use double-screen PNR - omg, its obvious AI becomes just overwhelmed with all the formulas involved obviously not correctly prioritezed.

I have a feeling my PS might explode if I start another CPU vs CPU match with Utah Jazz involved
They use double screens a lot!

Double high screens just ruin the AI, and that's been a thing for years. Doing like double screen flares, or just a lot of the plays in the Blazers playbook will mess up the AI.

Re: Evidence why next gen pick and roll and help defense needs lots of work still

I’ve tried so many slider combos, settings, etc. the weak side defense just fails to react in a reasonable amount of time and even when the center drops down, he’s non existent when it comes to stopping an offensive player on the pick and roll. The CPU defense is absolutely atrocious, there is no resistance.

It almost feels worse when I put their defensive sliders up to 100. The only thing that has marginally helped is completely nerfing my offensive players speed and acceleration and then my guys feels like they’re moving in mud.

The game is beautiful and I’m dying to dive deeper into myNBA but it’s no fun when there’s no threat of me losing. I’ve never been good at house rules so ignoring the paint when it’s wide the f open is something I can’t tell myself to do.

I’d love to see more drive and kick action but right now it’s just drive and oh y’all are just gonna stay glued to your guy in the corner? Ok I’ll just take this layup then.

Begging for a fix.

I raised DISH tend by 20 to all players. That made things better with D&K, but:

- it comes down to only a handful of pretty similar actions
- you have to use "PREROTATE" option, which leads to great shooter being left totally open, which of course doesnt make any sense

The game needs a HUGE fix.

NbA 2k20 was broken any many parts, but this version is even worse.
I am really disappointed.

The funny thing is there are some pick and rolls you can do and BOTH the ball handler and the roller can end up wide open. I do think we should have some random events but PNR is just bad and really needs a patch.

Yes, a big one!

Also, PNR is most of the offensive plays, like 80%, at least in my sims.
This was not the case in 2k20, it was much more diverse.

I am really eager to see what is CelticLG going to pull out of this broken machine. If they make a playable product in the end, they should be rewarded with Nobel.
