Help Defense Button Function - Call for Help (Next Gen)

I cant find any information on this setting. The assumption is that it somehow helps you on defense. Does anyone know how this setting work or even if this works for help defense? I can even find a forum about it. Thanks in advance.

Its an option. Its the same as the double team button. LB OR L1. Go to control settings. Only downside is you have to hold the button. As soon as you release the button they go back to their man.

Oh! Didn't even know that tidbit of information about releasing it. This whole time, I just thought the button was being unresponsive.

Which, to be honest, is the way it should work. A help rotation is basically as switch where the help defender takes over the ballhandler while the other players rotate so that every other opposing players is guarded by someone again. So as soon as "help" is called (-> button is pressed), it should trigger this rotation.

I know this is the way the button is designed to work-- bringing a help defender. But if I could change the function of this button, I would make it call a "sink" defender. By that I mean a help the helper button. If defensive AI worked the way it was supposed to, we wouldn't need to call help, but it would be really useful if we could call for a sink defender.

It only replaces the “random” help defense button. It does not allow you to choose the help defender the same way you can choose the double team defender.

If the allowed us to use the LB and the icon LB help then we would be in business. It would change the game if there was an option to bring user specific help defense.

I thought we could? I know that we can select specific defenders to "help/double"with LB, but the process is "too long" for my taste when trying to do OTF defensive adjustments. You're just better icon switching to the defender of your choice, and bringing that defender over to the ball handler.

I thought we could? I know that we can select specific defenders to "help/double"with LB, but the process is "too long" for my taste when trying to do OTF defensive adjustments. You're just better icon switching to the defender of your choice, and bringing that defender over to the ball handler.

Nah. The help button only works with lb. Once you go icon specific it becomes a double team.

I meant switching off to another defender using RB, or basically playing off ball for a moment.
