No audio when streaming or uploading 2K21 videos to Youtube from PS5

I've seen people post videos from 2K with sound included on Reddit. Anytime I post a video or stream it never includes the sound. I understand it's a copyright issue. But I've seen others able to get sound. Is this something that can only be done in "The City" mode? Or is there something that I'm missing?

That's been an issue for years unfortunately there's no way to fix it unless you buy an elgato and capture footage on that.

I also look for sounds available on online radio stations. This solves a lot of problems.

like samples or digitally and copyrighted-cleared music online? Can you elaborate on what you mean?

Every game on PS4/PS5 let’s you save the video WITH sound (yes even all the sports games). Except 2k……like c’mon, just block out the music when a highlight is saved. It can’t be that hard. Literally every other game does it……

They have their console setup to record/stream through a capture card via their PC.

It's weird that 2K is the only game I know of that just doesn't put in the effort to block out licensed music like every other sports game I've played.

This will probably always be here and as stated the only work around is to either buy a capture card when streaming.

Games that I know of that do this is 2k basketball, 2k wrestling, gta v.

It has a lot to do with copyright music and dmca laws.

If you stream to twitch, it just mutes the entire stream that had music, on YouTube its just is blocked by country.

It sucks but these are ya options. You can also use ps4 app and capture the image in obs. But it requires a lot of internet power to run it. I believe its 15 mbps, plus whatever bandwidth your using to stream.

I game on ps5, just select the setting on your ps4/ps5 to record your mic in the broadcast settings.. As long as you have the menu music off and the PA music lowered or off you will be fine as for as copyright goes. Or use the PC option they are telling you. The audio quality is not as good when using the mic work around. I used to plug a wired headset directly into my controller or turn on my wireless head set and sit it next to the TV. Yes this is rather annoying as most games just mute the music where as NBA mutes all sounds, what I usually try to do is upload the video then immediately as it finishes processing to YouTube, go to the video editor on desktop and use some of their copyright free music its not great but better then nothing.
