Thanks for your patience.
The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.
Tbh its a deep mode well beyond anything madden has to offer.
Its deeper then master league as well.

still its an unplayable Mode for everyone that wants to Play for more than 1 or 2 seasons without micromanaging All 30 Teams. the AI is unable to put up a somewhat decent roster Management and their gameplaning is horrible too. i dont care if other sports games are even worse. i dont Play any other sports games than nba 2k.and nba 2ks franchise (or myleague, mynba or what ever they wanna call it this year) is simply Not a Good experience.
It will get some upgrades but probably the same. They said next week which is weird being that it releases next week.
They keep harping on its so deep that they keep making minor upgrades. It's deep but with bugs they never fix and stale. There is no immersion. A real-time score ticker during games would be great. Scores during halftime would be awesome. The mode deep but there is no innovation
YES! This is the only thing that's really missing, and probably like a front page/menu news reel about everything in your league. That twitter stuff is beyond boring.
If they add extra immersion to MyNBA I’m buying on day 0. I’ll redo the hundreds of hours of meticulous rosters tuning and editing. If they don’t, then I’m still on the fence. 2K22 will be better, but worth me starting all over on editing and learning the game inside out? Remains to be seen.
I’m surprised more people don’t mention how next gen stopped showing city views during broadcasts. That’s one of the most immersive elements. It’s pathetic that the ONLY 2K that doesn’t play it is the one on the more powerful next gen consoles. Even 2K21 past gen has it FFS.
Things that could be included:
- Scenarios (like Madden but better)
- Home page is a news tab with score updates, articles, draft stories, photos, scenarios etc.
- Better trade and team building logic for CPU
- Contracts could more closely reflect the NBA
- Better draft classes
- Tendencies that develop over time
- multiple team trades can happen and be offered to you
- User coaches can be fired and hired
- Playbooks change depending on roster
- Fix all the legacy bugs that ruin the game after 2 offseasons

Everything on this list is great but unfortunately the only thing that's probably added is cpu logic. Myleague been the same for years. MyNba gm stuff can get annoying at times.
It's a deep mode but it needs better draft classes, a decent halftime show with scores from around the league, better free agent system and a score ticker during games. I can sign any free agent just giving him the most money. Doesn't matter what team I'm playing for
They need to fix sim stats, progression/regression, trade/draft/free agency AI, and add some actual immersion to the mode. NFL 2K5 had the halftime show and a weekly recap show, which even with the extremely limited voice lines still added so much to the gameplay and the franchise mode that no other sports game has ever come close to. It never got stale and it always got me in the mood to keep playing.

The relevance of other sports game brings worst is just that NO sports game has mastered ai team management yet. They are ALL very bad. Shoot, maybe its just not even capable.
Biggest thing for me is actual lineup logic which would also bleed into free agent decisions they make.
No team plays two centers at a time (example Whiteside and Richaun Holmes). But 2k will do this ALL the time as if the lineup logic was based off a script from 2009. MLB The Show does this as well with always putting two fast gays at the top of their lineup.
I think logic should have teams opt to put a sf at f or a pf at c before they put a center at a pf.

Some of the most annoying parts of the team-management AI are definitely fixable, for instance, the logjamming of certain positions. The logic for avoiding that is as simple as it gets: something like IF ( such-and-such trade or signing( position(any) > 3 ) THEN reject such-and-such trade or signing. One could similarly program the AI to not invest in signing Clint Capela when you already have Rudy Gobert (by creating a formula for OVR or salary ceilings for the acquisition of 2nd & 3rd string players). The formulas that users here routinely use in their spreadsheets to calculate ratings from real-life stats are considerably more complicated than the above. That said, the devs aren't stupid, so I know it must not be that simple to implement (maybe it's coded in a roundabout way that's hard to modify without breaking other things, or maybe the game has logic like this but other mechanics interfere with it). Point is just that the CPU logic that would avoid some of the 2k AI's mistakes is pretty rudimentary and very much within the power of a video game to execute.
