Will the A.I. finally be challenging on next gen?

Next gen 21 went backwards
The A.I. was more challenging on current gen and killed the single player experience on next Gen.
I know they said this year's game plays more similar to eachother but will the A.I play similar???

I guess we will have to find out on Friday

The AI wasn't cheesy either, which was a big plus. Sliders had the ability to make the CPU more challenging, we just needed better pick and roll coverage.

I hope tbe blanket feedback about the games A.I in 2K21 doesn't lead back to pinball all over the court and we are back to not being able to rise up for jumpers anymore....

I agree with everything you just said I just miss the days when you had to really gameplan against the superstars
I didn't pay 70 bucks just to blowout the CPU every game on the hardest difficulty level that would be the Dreamcast/PS2 days lol

You have to really play when the sliders and just max out defense basically, and lower speed with ball, raise speed without ball, add clamps and tireless defender badges to every player, and lower Posterizer badges and it actually plays decently on 2K21 next gen.

Wow that's a lot to do Similar to Madden house rules
When you have to do all that just shows me the A.I. is broken
N
2k should be showcasing next Gen A.I. on a Next Gen Console don't you think

Play with the team settings and sliders.

If you think about it, are sliders really similar to house rules? Sliders actually affect the game.

And IMO, the AI being broken and not being challenging enough isn't the same thing.

2K21 current gen, challenging ?
just need to activate the zone and even in HOF, its a blow out cos the AI takes so many bad 3pts...

I dont think AI will be challenging and i dont believe that the dev team spends lot of time on AI nor on NBA realism.
Online (arcade) mode$ are their main focus, unfortunately.

CPU Defense is broken since 2k17 and despite the announcement last year, we saw that nextgen isnt built from the ground up. So it drives legacy issues ; Adding more badges will not help the overall experience.
