    Is Blocking Overpowered?

First off, I love this game hats off to the developers and creators.

I’m noticing a lot of blocked shots in games. Even point guards are getting in on the fun. Has anyone else been experience a block party in their games?

I think blocks/steal attempts/dunks should diminish stamina a bit more and maybe affect vertical rating overtime imo. Kind of like conserving your energy to play optimally throughout the game.

Yes I have seen so many blocks. My first game Anthony Davis had 12 blocks by the end of the 3rd quarter. To make things worse I had 7 blocks with Kendrick Nunn. I guess we have to turn the slider for blocks down considerably.

Yeah I'd have to agree with this. Although overall I'm so happy with the defending on this game.

But it seems too easy to spam block or press block way ahead of an offensive player putting up a shot, and them still go ahead and put up the shot.

There should be a penalty for mistiming blocks.

I like the blocks just need to call more shooting fouls.

Yes, but it’s pretty awesome the new block tech in game! I have seen some sick blocks! Sliders are your friend. Sometimes… lol

True. Not complaining about the type of blocks I'm getting.

It's more that there isn't much penalty for timing. Like you said giving up more shooting fouls, jumping on pump fakes and giving up easy baskets would be nice.

i go with the one before me: the Total number of Blocks is totally fine. In Prior years we had so Few Blocks in the game. but we have to punish jumping All the time. we need Bad outcomes = more shooting Fouls. especially under the basket you can get the defender in the air all the time yet He is able to contest every shot attempt by just jumping All the time. There needs to be a downside for Bad Block attempts.

If you're playing offline, sliders are a big help. Some minor tweaks should more than cover the issue.

Online, you can punish errant jumping hard this year. Use it to your advantage. We need that rim protection.

Leave my blocks alone, man, lol

I would like to see more blocks attempts that force a miss versus actually punching someone's shot.

It's really hard to block the shot of small guards like Kyrie and Chris Paul IRL, but you can force them to miss by making them adjust to where your hand is.

Basically it's too easy to connect on blocks. I had Tim Hardaway Jr with 3 block in one game playing on HOF because timing is pretty easy if you know how.

I think so and think the block slider needs to be lowered. I am finding a few things.

                    1. See to many games with like 10+ blocks for both me and cpu

                    2. To many like chase down blocks.

                    3. Even guys who are not good defenders seem to be getting in on blocking shoots.

After my first game I decreased blocks to 47-48 and they’re a lot less pronounced, but more consistent it seems.

But I also don’t ball on HOF. It just doesn’t allow a fair or balanced experience anymore. So people will probably have a different response depending on the difficulty they choose to play.
I don't know how people can play on HOF even all star is pretty hard I am like 1-6 so far on all star with lakers and having a hard time scoring and lost several games by like 20+. I think I have put blocks down to 45 and might have to put it down a little bit more.
