Please help me get rid of the dunk meter

I thought I had turned all the meters off (I hate them in my franchise) but I still have the alley-oop meter and the dunk meter (showing me a big "Family Feud" X every time I try to dunk) on. I can't for the life of me find where to turn them off. TIA

For alley-oops, you can't turn it off, sorry to say.

For standard dunks, just dunk normally. Don't use the turbo + right stick down mechanic.

1. That's insane you can't turn the alley-oop off
2. That makes sense for Turbo dunks
3. Say a guy has Zach Lavine on his team and wants ALL the special dunks. Is there a way to turn it off when you turbo/right stick?

I also find them very annoying, hope an option comes to turn them off. Before we know it there will be meters for everything.

They really need to patch in the option to turn off the alley oop meter. I get what they were going for, but I find it too distracting. I'm surprised they released the game without the option.

The dunk meter really takes away from the game immersion also… feels and looks extra arcadey — especially with broadcast camera being absent.

I haven't played the game so I understand there's an element of, "Oh just wait to try it yourself first." But I feel I can say quite comfortably that I'm going to despise this meter.

Frankly, dunking in real life is such a bang-bang sort of play that relegating any aspect of it (even trick dunks or alley-oops) to an on-the-fly precision meter is such a disservice to the actual feel of executing such a feat.

The rumored obnoxious overlay is just the cherry on top.

I think if you turn off all HUD elements it turns off dunk meter. It just also turns off being able to see the icons for icon passing

But, can’t you only get contact dunks this year with down on the RS? So you have to use the dunk meter?

As far as I know, you can still get contact dunks. All RS + down does is make sure that you're going for a dunk instead of a game decided layup every time.

Sorry but when you said "Family Feud" type X, couldn't help but laugh. Truly, I hate this meter and most extra icons on my screen too.

You can do that for dunks but there's still no way to get rid of the alley oop meter.
