Re: Who’s using the shot meter in 2K22 (and who’s not)

So yeah I can’t do the meter.

It just looks WAYYYY better and feels so much more natural without it. I can actually “feel” the players.

I’ll do whatever it takes for no meter. Right now jacking my shot success sliders up as I get the hang of it.

Also, if I adjust the shot timing sensitivity slider in the USER section, will that affect timing sensitivity without a meter? Because that can be a good “fix” for starters who aren’t using a meter. And would I want to raise or lower that meter to make it easier to time shots correctly?

I’ve gotten so used to ‘feeling’ my shots (that even includes the stepbacks, spin jumpers and pull-ups) that I have no use for the meter, so it stays off. If I have doubts, I go to the Gatorade gym and shoot certain shots until I get a feel for them.

I haven't played a ton, so I'm pretty bad sans meter right now, so maybe I'll give the meter another shot down the line.

I’ve always been a RP% guy but in experimenting with the meter this year, I too found it hard to perceive the release point. My eyes kinda ‘lose’ the flow of the meter when it crosses into that color portion. I’d prefer it if you could turn that portion off so that the meter is uniform except for the exact release point line.

So I rose my shot success sliders 2-4 points for now, and most importantly lowered user timing sensitivity to 40.

It’s GLORIOUS. I can actually see jumpers now and not some dumb generic meter. Shots go in more, etc.

It’s the ONLY way to play. You start getting the hang of learning releases once you gain more confidence. Giving yourself training wheels initially to help shots go in is a good way to build that muscle memory.

Anybody else have an issue of the controller settings not saving? It's been what? 5 years? It's still happening.

I turned it off and I'm enjoying the boost that comes from it. It's too much of a distraction anyway.

.... You got to turn it off every game online. It's annoying as ****.

They had the time to add all these SFX for perfect release. But didn't have time to remove your opponents flash and shot meter.
