    No Fast Breaks For Humans?

It happens four or five times a game. My CPU defender gets a steal, control switches to me, and he immediately stops in his tracks and no teammates go down court. Even if I do take control at the correct moment to take him down court, despite him being 88 speed, nearly the entire opposing team will be in the paint before I get there.

It really feels like your player slows down massively when they get the ball.

Combined with on-ball AI defense being perfect and the pick and roll being broken and it feels like they don't want dunks to be a thing at all and just have the player jack 90 threes a game.

Any idea what I can do to fix these issues?

Been that was since release. Fast breaks against the AI are pretty much non-existent

Keep eye on my thread. I just created some sliders and I had like 3 fastbreaks in 3 minutes.

I'll share the file this weekend on Xbox.

If you are on Playstation, it's gonna take me some time to list out.

My favorite is when you’re running down the court full speed and there’s a little hitch in his run he skips and then continues his run.
        I hate that

Everyone has different things that make a game unplayable for them, this is one of them for me in terms of a basketball game. I consider it a core aspect of the sport. It simply can't be missing.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

What I don't get is that you can jack all the speed sliders for user all the way to 100, but if you lower the speed for the CPU, it affects the user as well....

I am on PS5, but I am looking forward to those. I was using Armor & Swords' sliders until a patch apparently broke them.

                Agree completely.

Tried a fast break test today with the user leaking out way before a shot is even taken, then having my point guard with 95 pass accuracy throw the outlet. Even then, the pass is so off target that you get the weird catching animation that lets all of the defenders get back. It feels really frustrating.

I'm over halfway done with editing players on teams. I'll have to take some time to write them out. Can you wait like another week or so?

Yeah, no rush whatsoever. Hoping to see a slider set that can combat this issue.

People used to complain about fast breaks being too easy and fast break defense being too poor, so they overcorrected it in 2k22.

About two weeks ago, I realized I had accidentally been editing my rosters/sliders for last generation's game the whole time. I think there are pretty sizable differences. Am I right?

Yeah, I've seen a lot of talk how some sliders work on PS4 but don't on PS5 and vice versa. Might be a challenge for sure.

I've been using the most downloaded slider set on PS5, and with a few tweaks the issue isn't as bad. It's still really bad (the bad pass catch animations and the dramatic slowdown) but it is far more playable than it was.

Re: No Fast Breaks For Humans?

All of the problems associated with this (bad pass/catch animations, hitches on fast breaks that Mike Wang said was removed in an update, speed with ball/speed without ball problems) are band aids for the bad transition defence.

A user controlled break would easily exploit the fact that CPU defenders don’t actually know where the ball is on defence they just run to pre destined spots on the floor. Only solution other than fixing transition defence is to slow transition offense for balance.

Add that to all the badges that affect movement more than attributes (glue hands, downhill, quick first step, chase down perhaps) and honestly how bad the rosters are in how some players that should have their badges and attributes updated,

The result is a lack of fast breaks
                            ... But hey VC sale!!

They claimed they fixed the hitch yet it seems exactly the same. Did they fix it at ALL? How can they just say it if it isn’t remotely true lmao.
