I know this is not going to happen but I hope 2k will follow suit and send the retired players association money that Barkley requested them to do since the NBA is going to send money to players that have played in the ABA

Meh, I'm one of the biggest Jordan stans around these parts as most of you know, but this alone isn't enough to convince me to pick the game up unless the editing tools are on point.

2K22 nerfed sooooo many options to the point it butchered the ability to make the players feel barely separate from one another.

Last game where there was truly a bag of tricks in the player edit section was 2K16 and obviously a shout out to 2K20. We're in a new generation of gaming now and they STILL can't even revert to allowing us to rotate players on the screen when customizing a jump shot.......

Amazing to have MJ's challenges return, and the GOAT on the cover again, but I'm not sure it's going to be enough.

As you may or may not be aware, NBA2K has long been slow to regain player licensing rights once they lose them. With that said, many players are lost yearly thus making Classic Teams being complete a thing of the past.

For NBA 2K23 any player who did not sign a 10-day contract via hardship, or appear in an NBA game as part of the NBA Players Union, will not be eligible to be included in NBA2K23 without either signing with an NBA team for the 2022-2023 NBA Season OR reaching an exclusive deal to sign directly with 2K.

Here is a list of players who are currently at risk to be removed from NBA2K23 that did appear in NBA 2K22


Players who appeared on Classic teams will be removed for #NBA2K23 unless they reach an agreement with NBA2K or sign in the NBA
