How to reset defensive switches on the fly?

is there a button or a particular way to reset a switch on D on the fly?

here’s the scenario i’m trying to alleviate - Let’s say my opponent sets a pick and my PG gets switched onto the C. but, the C stays on the perimeter and i have time to swap players, again, allowing my C to D up their C and my PG switch back to the PG.

i ask this because the problem is that when my AI C starts guarding the PG, he refuses to leave, even if i start guarding with my PG. irl, i would call out, ‘get the F$&! down low!’ But, in the context of the video game, i haven’t seen a description of a button or something to maybe ‘reset’ D matchups on the fly or something? i know that in order to perform a double team, u press LB. But, again, i want a way to change the switch that just happened. can this be done?
