It's a preference thing, really.
Believe me, I understand that just as much as anyone. That's the thing I hate about this game, how 30 players become superstars.

If you look at the previous NBA drafts, each one has always at least had a small amount of allstar players come out of it.
I somewhat agree. But that being said, I'm trying to balance out the league. Not all guys are going to be terrible anyway, you'll have guys who can contribute and be a borderline allstar player.

That being said, don't be surprised if a superstar comes along.

Haha! Well with the high talent that they have in that thread, I'm not so sure lol. But I can always include names and likenesses.

But look at the top picks for the 2000 draft.... Kenyon Martin, Stromile Swift, Darius Miles, Marcus Fizer, Mike Miller, Dermarr Johnson, Chris Mihm, Jamal Crawford, Joel Pryzbilla, Keyon Dooling (in that order). None of those players in my opinion were ever "big time" players. I guess my thing is when you make multiple classes I believe that there should be some range in talent between the drafts.

Another thing I wanted to say is that I think whether or not you use offseason training points should be considered when determining whether or not to use a class with relatively lower or higher potential. If you use offseason training points, you can easily take a player with 85 potential, use untapped potential to jump it to a 95. Couple that with potential that high jumping a couple of points each year and BAM you just made the next Lebron James with 99 potential in a span of two years. If you don't use offseason training points however, I do agree that potential should be a tad bit higher.

But that's just me. I can't knock anyone for how they do there association cause I have actually done both. I guess I'm just kinda trying to show why I feel like the lower potential can work as well.
Yeah i agree 100%, it's just that both of the draft classes didn't have any star players. I think it's a great idea for one draft class to be extremely weak, but it can't be the norm. Anyway after the first couple of picks, i think both classes were really well done.

And yeah i also much rather classes with lower potentials than the majority which have a ridiculous amount of prospects over 80 potential.

Don't worry man, superstars are coming. Some of these guys if used right can be stars, though. Just give it some time.

Bumping this up ty to let you know that I'm using your second DC this season in my Association. I'm thinking of going PG in Round 1 so I'm heavily scouting Percy Turner and Sasa Schumacher to start the season.
