Slider to control backdoor passing?

I play with the CPU midrange tendancy at 80, their 3 at 75, and inside shot at 35.

This works fine, except there are way too many backdoor passes by the CPU, and way too many of them are successful. Any way to regulate this using sliders?

no not really.
sagging perimeter defense helps significantly. as well as good anticipation defense.
having the 'passing lanes" slider high helps somewhat..but its minimal.

the game is designed this way..not much u can do about it..
unfortunatley this year passes are too quick and accurate.
hopefully in 2k9. they will find a balance..so only the premier passes have the ability to weave passes through the D to slashing team mates.

Are backdoor passes partly the reason I see alot of slider heads with "flashy passes" at 0?

another way to stop them is to play on allstar instead of hof or superstar

I think lowering offensive awareness decreases smart moves like the backdoor cut.

or u can keep an eye on the passing lanes and switch to your big men every now and then and make sure no one get a backdoor pass. thats what i do and hardly no none gets me anymore on those backdoors, even on hof.

yeah, its about being attentive on defense.. most the time u can see the play or pass coming.
if my mind is on the game defensively, i am able to negate the frequency of backdoor or quick inside passes..
but still, it would be nice if the game could find a better balance with this issue.
all that needs to happen is, that the pass should only be allowed by players with high passing skills, and caught by players with high "hands" attribute.
anyone else tries it, and its a bad pass, or poor catch or poor response...
this would add more t/os to the game too, which would be great..
if only this was done in the patch.
