I'm using this same exact setup......

i'll fire up some of your settings and see how they go using Dallas...i've been playing pretty exlsuively with everything out of the box but have'nt had many 100 pt games with Dallas which is my only complaint or gripe if you want to call it a complaint.

but your settings look really close to settings i'd would have probably made if i wasn't so lazy right now with messing with sliders....LOL!

i'll give them a run this weekend for you

Just wanna give this thread a bump. Need more feedback regarding your thoughts on these sliders. I'm having a BLAST with them so far.

Looking good HD. I will definitely be starting with these as my base, considering some of your trends are matching with mine. Unfortunately my play time for the next two weeks will be limited since I have a big exam coming up and I'm in the process of moving. Once I get situated I will be more helpful with observing things and suggesting tweaks

BTW, to get some discussion started, for the sliders like offensive awareness and defensive awareness, what exactly do they physically change on the court? I haven't tested them yet but what did you see and notice that made you adjust them? I like to understand the full effect of sliders before drastically changing them. I did have the vertical and quickness ramped down too, so I trust you but would like to hear your thoughts.

Also, what do you notice with the help defense slider? Does that just make them move faster or does it affect the AI logic?

                  Thanks!

My understanding of offensive/defensive awareness, as it pertains to sliders, is finding the open man or going to the open spot on offense. On defense, it deals with position in relation to the ball and knowing when to double team or help. Playing passing lanes seems to have an effect here too, not sure if that's a placebo effect I've faced or what, but I seem to have found a nice balance between defensive awareness and the play passing lanes slider.

Help defense has to deal with AI, in my opinion. Knowing who has the ball and how far to sag off for help-side or deny the ball. Defensive rotations play a role in this too.

Would these work well on the 360 with Nogster's custom roster?

Edit: I decided to find out for myself and played a game with the celtics versus the knicks on the 360, and they work very well.

I played this weekend with your v3 sliders and lowered my mid range to 48 because using Dallas Dirk is a stud from mid range

I just saw your update with it at 49 now on v4....

Overall pretty good set for my style of play using Dallas....keep in mind i don't use any created rosters just default without any edits to player ratings

I've had to make a few tweaks, but I can't remember exactly what.

From V4, I decreased midrange and increased 3pt for both hum and cpu.

There also still weren't enough FTA, so i increased shooting fouls. It makes the game a little weird now though, so I'm going to have to do a few more fouling tweaks.

                            All in all, good set.
