I don't know if its just me Greenie but the last three games I've played my teams have averaged almost 28 turnovers a game. Should I lower hands and play the passing lanes a smidgen to compensate?

I can get up there occasionally, as well. Luckily I almost never run, or I might get 50.

Yes, but you probably only need to either lower hands, up pass acc or both. Hands lower = almost instant reduction.

You can reduce them somewhat by trying to get a better angle or just not throwing the pass, but the passing system is still wonky.

I know what ya mean with the passing system, half the time when I try and run I think I'll throw to my guy cutting to the rim but my point will try and throw across three defenders to the trailer in the corner, and nine times outta ten that pass is taken the other way. So I feel ya on that.

Lol. Exactly!

So far, with these settings, I feel mostly responsible for my turnovers-- albeit with the occasional sailing pass, which I'm o.k. with-- but it definitely makes a not-so-great system more difficult. And, in all honestly I probably don't make many highlight reel passes. I'm extremely cautious.

We'll see how I feel in ten games.

BTW: Passing Lanes does have a slight effect, but really only on the times when guys jump the lanes between the three-point line and halfcourt line and when fronting the post. It will have a very minor effect on running picks. And, it's only 7 over the default, so pass acc and hands are a better thing to at least try first. Let me know how it goes.

Will do, and even if I knew how to throw the "Flashy Pass" I probably wouldn't do it, seeing how I'm having turnover issues as it is already. Starting a game as we speak gonna take the Suns on the road against Denver. BTW lowered hands to 66 and pass accuracy to 46 for the game.

That should get you under 20, at least.

I'm busy getting mauled by 2022 Bulls, w/ 13 TO's at the half. Lol.

The other problem you describe is related to the Steal Success & Stealing sliders. If you decrease these, you will not be able to swipe the ball with such ease.

The reason why I have them set the way I do is because NBA 2K11 does not consistently produce realistic turnover numbers. Specifically, it produces a minimal amount of non-steal turnovers. I've attempted to band-aid this by producing more steal turnovers, so that teams can average 14 turnovers a game as they do in the NBA. The only other way to deal with this is by reducing the Pass Acc slider. But, personally, I can not play the game with it under 44, because the number of woefully, unexplainably inaccurate passes @ <44 ruins the game.

I think in A&S's thread someone is talking about increasing OFF AWR to 100, not DEF AWR. I do have OFF AWR @ 74-75 (can't remember the exact number), but I find that anything above 75 results in higher scoring games. I don't really want that, because some teams in the NBA still average in the 90's on points. For me, the cap to DEF AWR is 68. Anything above that results in CPU defenders that never make mistakes. In such a case, I think you would have to sacrifice suspension of disbelief for statistical accuracy. That has never been my goal.

I'm glad you are enjoying them.
thanks for the tips mate. I agree about the high scoring games, that's my BIGGEST hate, I can't stand high scoring games, it just feels wrong haha
