Yes - I know it's crazy to say this, but I've done more tinkering. Lowered "strength" down to "0" for both teams and all of a sudden I started seeing animations I hadn't before. The game plays a very fun variety of basketball. I'm trying to find that balance between the CPU giving a solid showing, but not being so overpowering that it's not impossible to play against. If you are still updating, give the sliders on page 1 / post 1 a try and see what you think. Thanks!

I do have an updated slider set that I've worked on for this game - if people can still believe that. The deeper I go into it, the more stuff I find. Once the animations got better the game came to life. The game speed and strength were both huge as I saw new animations of players, especially those driving to the rim. I'll provide the update once I get to my 360. To answer your other private message - no, I don't have a current roster set for this. Unfortunately we've reached our limit. But grab the file NBA 2K14 that is provided here by the other guys as it's VERY WELL done!

Give these a go and see what you think. Offensive rebounds have improved. Bumping is way down. CPU will drive it to the rim and there are some cool animations depending on what attributes / signature style the player has.

I'm enjoying these - challenging, but fair and fun - and provide a lot of varying results.

I play a much faster pace and run a number of fast breaks. What I'm seeing is that I'm getting off around 20 more shots per game than you are. Which is why I no longer use 12 minute periods because I never scored less than 110 points in any game. I not get games where the scores are in the 90's (even 80's) and have put up over 120 a few times as well.

I might suggest for you that you raise yours to 12 minute periods and see if your scores are higher.

I use only historical rosters (found in other threads here) and use 11 minutes for all files previous to the 1994-95 seasons, and 10 minutes for all seasons from 1995-96 and after (you'll note this was a key change in NBA scoring).

Mainly, just enjoy the game. The idea here is a "fun, realistic challenge" - all 3 should happen. I want to lose. I want to win. I want nailbiters. I want blown out. I want to win some blowouts too. And I want teams to play to their strengths, where shot blockers, rebounders, scorers, penetrators, shooters - all do their thing!
