I left the user and cpu 3 point shooting slider at 50 each.

Played tonight's Dallas (me) at San Antonio (cpu) using the sliders now on page 1. WOW!!!! I lost by 8 (94-86) but the cpu shot 47% and I shot 44% - stats were crazy spot on!!!

Make sure you run plays!!! use screens and also use lead passing (to free guys up on the wing for open jumpers). I believe after months and months of testing I've finally found the "final" set.

Tweak to fit your needs!

latest superstar edits for 2K11 on page 1. i believe i solved that crap where the cpu magically flies past you. also, the layup fest on fast breaks has been slowed a bit (by the cpu). shooting percentages also seem a bit better.

MK a q for you.
The tendency sliders. I understand changing the ones for the cpu but what does changing the ones for the user achieve...?(the shooting ones i mean, putbacks etc are pretty self explanatory)

those tendencies for the user will put players on certain positions on the floor that make their attributes and individual tendencies come to life. you can only control one player at a time (user). so the cpu will help those other players basketball IQ decisions...

My latest results (playing with the sliders that were up yesterday, before today's update):

Lakers (Me) - Magic (CPU)

Points: 91 - 79
FG: 33/68 - 32/75
FG%: 48% - 42%
3PT: 5/18 - 7/23
3PT%: 27% - 30%
FT: 20/26 - 8/13
FT%: 76% - 61%
Assists: 14 - 19
Turnovers: 5 - 4
Fouls: 8 - 16
Rebounds: 39 - 34
Off. Reb: 7 - 3
Steals: 4 - 4
Blocks: 9 - 1
PitP: 34 - 26
Bench Points: 23 - 25
Second Chance Points: 4 - 0
Fast Break Points: 4 - 2

The game felt really realistic, and although the CPU will still invariably go on runs, they don't seem as unstoppable as before (otherwise I wouldn't have won), so I think you've successfully toned down the cheapness. The CPU will make as many contested shots as to keep the game from becoming College ball with NBA players, but not as many as to make defending utterly useless.

you must be better at playing defense than me... i think i know why i have a hard time stopping the cpu: i freelance on offense too much. I probably run plays 25% of the time, and I think that gets my guys in bad spots on the floor, thus making me vulnerable to a lot of fast break layups by the cpu.

i will say this: the latest change i made which gives me a small advantage in the vertical and quickness have really made this game more fun. it's a slight advantage, but in reality, probably evens it up since the cpu is known for having a cheat in this area.

appreciate your feedback and hope you enjoy them. my goal is to get this game to play just like we see it on TV. spacing is key, and i want a "fair" CHALLENGE...

Harsh,

Been having an issue on defense I never really noticed before. It seems to be a CPU money play on offense. Play against the raptors or spurs, or a team with a similar playbook.

The issue seems to be too successful screens/picks or maybe not good enough help defense. The play is a pick around the area of the paint that allows a forward to scoot out to the wing next to the baseline. The forward is almost always open and gets off a quick shot that almost always goes in, mainly because the defense is nowhere to be found. If you play against the Raptors this is the #1 play run for Bargnani, so it happens a lot for. This generally happens on man coverage but also occurs on zone.

Just wondering if you experienced anything like this. I tried setting defense to tight and double teams but it doesn't have an effect. I tried upping awareness but doesn't seem to matter since the player gets lost in the pick or screen. I'll see if I can upload a video later.

latest changes on page one have pretty much perfected this game for me... have had some of the best games i've played using everything that is current on page 1.
