Re: mkharsh33 - NBA 2K11 - ALL STAR Sliders (12 min...real player %)

Stats from my latest game against the Blazers, using the latest slider set:

Lakers (Me) - Blazers (CPU)

Points: 98 - 85
FG: 32/63 - 31/74
FG%: 50% - 41%
3PT: 5/11 - 2/13
3PT%: 45% - 15%
FT: 29/32 - 21/27 (plenty of free throws for both teams, which is a rare sight)
FT%: 90% - 77%
Assists: 18 - 22
Turnovers: 15 - 14
Fouls: 19 - 19
Rebounds: 29 - 30
Off. Reb: 2 - 7
Steals: 10 - 9
Blocks: 10 - 5
PitP: 34 - 40
Bench Points: 20 - 13
Second Chance Points: 2 - 6
Fast Break Points: 2 - 6

This was a fun game to play. Neither team managed to maintain a lead in the first half. I dominated the third quarter and thought it was going to be an easy game from that moment onwards, but Portland refused to give up and started the 4th quarter by going on a huge run that eventually put them in front. However, I remained calm, made some important shots, drew fouls, tightened up my defense, ran plays for Kobe and Gasol, and ended up going on a run of my own, thus winning both the quarter and the game. Matthews killed me in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, but decided he would build a house in the 4th quarter instead of playing basketball, with all the bricks he threw up.

MK or anyone using these.
I am getting some nice games with the All star set but the fouls for me seem to be out of control. For the cpu they are pretty decent but nearly every time in the paint the cpu is called for a foul and i head to the FT line.
Playing 6min qtrs and i am getting to the line about 20 times a game which is obviously far too many.
Anyone have any more suitable foul sliders for the user without completely nerfing them?

minutes played DOES change a lot of stuff. It's as if the game makes adjustments for some sort of simulation factor. My suggestion is to adjust them accordingly to fit your minutes played.

Re: mkharsh33 - NBA 2K11 - ALL STAR Sliders (12 min...real player %)

Hey guys. I am very pleased with these sliders. I feel they are very fair and create competitive games at the same time. I am wondering if anyone using these in Association can help me. I know that all non-shooting fouls are up to 100, which is fine. But in Association the cpu teams are averaging like 30 fouls a game. This is a little high and it has created some teams averaging 120 ppg. Like the Raptors. It could help if someone could suggest what I should turn down to get the scoring and fouls down. I know it could be the non-shooting fouls being tracked differently in simulated games, so I need a way to make them still high in games I play, but low enough to lower the fouls in cpu simulated games. Blocks are also a little high on my end still. I can get about 10 blocks every game. I did lower shooting fouls as I was tired of every post possession resulting in a foul. I know the fouls are better, but fouls do not happen every time. I think that I found a happy medium for shooting fouls on my part though. I know that you don't use this mode MK. So anyone else that might be able to help. BTW These sliders are as great as your roster MK. Thanks again.

Easy fix...just tone down the fouls to meet your needs.

Just want to say these are some great competitive sliders. I am really enjoying playing the game now. I'm also using your roster set (jan 18) and it works perfectly together. I'm currently playing on superstar, your final set, and its great. One question though, why is steal success at 100? just curious. thank you

Re: mkharsh33 - NBA 2K11 - ALL STAR Sliders (12 min...real player %)

steal success is at 100 because on SuperStar level it appears there is a "cheat" factor involved. Having tested 100's of games, where I'm not really "enjoying" it - but agonizing over the "perfect" set I've seen the cpu do things that the user cannot.

In my recent testing I had to do something: lower the VERTICAL and QUICKNESS sliders by 5 clicks each. it was amazing to watch: I've become really good on the dribbling moves using the sticks. at 35 I can blow by anyone, even with cpu on ball defense at 100. but lowering those 2 to 30 each changed that...

BUT, I've had to tweak the cpu shooting sliders a tad because they couldn't throw it in the ocean.

if you're happy with what you're seeing, just ignore any more changes. If not, I am still looking at a few things.

Yes, I realize this is for 2K11, but I'm not purchasing 2K12, and I did a TON of rosters last year in which I NEVER played the game...was always getting those files done, of which i created 8 classic teams, and am working on current rosters each night too. but I know I'm getting really, really close on this.
