    NBA 2K12 All-Star Simulation Sliders

First let me say I take no credit for these as they are a combo of Paul Pierce's The Truth sliders & DJ's sliders. All I did was combine what I liked from those to get what my idea of NBA ball is. Those cats did all the real work and should be applauded for their efforts.

Next, these sliders may be a bit physical for some (not crazy or unrealistic but you will see contact sometimes) if that's the case tweak to your liking or I can try to help. I'm old school so I like to see some contact on the court.

I used Bedwardsroy19's roster on PS3 to test so I'm not sure how they work with other rosters. Try em out & let me know how they are playing.

    Game Play:
    Difficulty: All Star
Game speed: 44 (Or user preference)
    Quarter Length: 12 Min
    Fatigue: On
    Clutch Factor On
    Shooting Type: Real Player %
Free Throw Type: Real Player %
Free Throw Difficulty: 50 (I'm using 50 & shot stick until I get comfortable with the releases but use what ever you're comfortable with.)

    Sliders: USER/CPU

    Offense:
    Inside Shot Success: 45/45
    Close Shot Success: 45/45

    Dunk Success: 45/45
    Dunk in Traffic Success: 40/40
Pass Accuracy: 48/48 (I like to see unforced turnovers only drawback is easy passes miss their target sometimes. If too many for your taste use 50/50).
    Ally-Oop Success: 50/50
    Contact Shot Success: 35/35

    Defense:
    Driving Contact Frequency: 60/60
    Inside Contact Frequency: 100/100

    Consistency: 0/0
    Fatigue Rate: 65/65

Re: NBA 2K12 All-Star Simulation Sliders

Gave these a try and made these changes (remember I'm an old guy):

              Game Speed 40
              Driving Contact Frequency: 20/20
              On Ball Defense: 65/65
              Blocking: 25/25
              Go for On-Ball Steals: 50
              Take 3pt shots 45

              Not bad at all.

Didn't really love these. Too much bumping for me and I thought it was to hard to penetrate

Yea these def won't be for everyone (that's why I commented on the physical nature of these in the first post).

Penetration isn't easy but it can be done....you have to use (or not use) the right iso move(s) to get free. There's been plenty of times where I can get by a defender by just driving or by using a perfectly timed crossover...just depends on the situation.

Patience is the key...you have to wanna look for the best shot available.

I tried Truth slider's before and didn't like them, but thought I would give them a try. As for penetration, I was the Suns and played against the Lakers. It was pretty frustrating as I couldn't get past Fisher and when I did, Nash would randomly lose his dribble.

I really like these for the computer though as they rarely took any of those stupid shots where they just stand there and then jack up a three with a second left on the clock. I was able to get good shots and even shoot decent percentage, 45 to be exact. I was just hard knowing that the Suns game was drive and kick with Nash, or PnR with him and I wasn't able to play that way

Good work, Dice. I'm keeping the Game Speed at 48 for me, because at 44, the CPU tends to hold onto the ball too much and wind up taking forced shots as the shot clock expires. With the game speed just a little faster, the CPU will get into a better flow.

Thanks DJ...I may address the game speed when I start my association when I can incorporate player speed into the mix.

I made a few small tweaks to suite my playing style, and have played 2 really good games with this slider set. One was an 84-83 win with the Knicks over the 76ers in an NBA Today game, and the second game was in Greatest Mode, where I won with the 1971-72 Lakers over the Hawks, 108-101.

That second game was nuts; Lou Hudson could not miss and Pistol Pete was pulling off all kinds of crazy moves to get into the paint. Thankfully, Wilt dominated the post and put up 40 (no double teams but Atlanta did send a second defender to play help D a lot, which did open the perimeter up later on), which I needed because West had an off night from the floor.

I'm hooked on this game right now (waiting from Ronyell and company's roster set to be released), and these sliders have the game playing really well for me. Thanks for mashing my set up with Paul Pierce's, Dice. I've done that with other games and more times than not, get great results.

No problem my man glad they're working for you. I'm in the same boat w/waiting for a roster to drop and then I can really sink my teeth into the game.
