How Many Minutes Per Quarter if you Want Realistic Stats?

I play kind of up-tempo and I find that 5 minute quarters online are too short if you want realistic stats. Scores in the 60s are no realistic but online does that so games aren't too long.

When I play 8 or 9 minute quarters, I find that I score alot of points but it's not like I deserve theme, I'm simply scoring a lot because there are a lot of possessions in the game.

What do you suggest? 7 or 8 mins for realistic stats?

In past years for me, it was always Simulation Game Style with 12 Minute Qtrs, but in 2k13 I have been noticing good shot totals and scores with Simulation Game Style and 8 Minute Qtrs.

It is important to look at the total shots by each team, should be somewhere around 80 at the end of the game for each.

With 12 minutes in my test games I felt I could put up 100 every times, with at least one player making it to 40, or almost to 40 points every game. So I lowered it to 8 and have been seeing scores ranging from 80-110 points, with realistic shot averages.

For me I wanted a challenge to score 100 and really put up points with my star.

12 minutes with SIM setting give you the most realistic results.

I play at 10 minutes per quarter and have seen a player get 10+ rebounds every game. Nice. I love that the players actually get rebounds this year. This has been missed so dearly in 2K. I haven't had a triple double since 2K10!

mkharsh33, I've used your sliders in the past and thoroughly enjoyed them. What are you playing with so far? Pro/sim? All-star/sim? Your own tweaks?
