Re: Understanding slider coefficients

Playing on the All Star difficulty, I've gotten the sliders as close as possible to replicating the players' actual rating. Only changed the CPU's sliders.

It's impossible to get the following sliders exact. You're either gonna be over (green) or under (red) by 1:
Handles 46 (in the red since security can't be changed)
Strength 47 (green)
Security (green, can't be changed)
On ball defense 47 (green)

The following sliders, you will get the exact ratings:
Hands 43
Offensive/defensive awareness 40

Everything else, I left at 50.

Hands I believe if you keep lowering it will reduce ball security. Doing so, will also have the affect of the CPU not tipping so many passes on defense. So in order to counter that, you could always raise play passing lanes.

To counter that, you could just raise/lower the Gather/Takeoff Defense Strength sliders to lower shooting % off the dribble and raise/lower the Release Defense Strength sliders to lower shooting % in traffic.

I agree, even though its not 100% confirmed by 2k.

Re: Understanding slider coefficients

This is all great and everything, very interesting, but rather than me having to piece together a slider set from a hundred different replies about different aspects, can the OP just post what the right sliders would be for each diff level?

I know you might want me to work that out myself as you have given all the information, but my brain isn't powerful enough.

If you can't be bothered to do them all can you just do All Star? I get that you're saying you will have to be -.5 or +1, so +4 clicks for +1 (on all star) or +3 for -.5.

I think it would just be more legible to have ONE post with a slider set for example. Unless I'm missing that there's already been one?

All Star set
quickness 47
vertical 47
strength 47
stamina 50
speed 47
durability 50
hustle 47
ball handling 47
hands 43
dunking ability 47
onball defense 47
stealing 47
blocking 47
OA 40
DA 40
OR 47
DR 47
Consistency 50
Fatigue rate 57
Injury Freq 50
Injury Sev. 50

this will just result +1 to those affected att and +4/5 to SIT and SOD. you can actually get their actual rating in rookie and HOF however those two adjustable att will either be red or green depending on the diff you choose, -10 in rookie and +12 in hof. not so accurate with the boost but its something like that.
