Okay so my wife came home last night w/ CG2K14, said the marketing got her. LOL. So at the store as she is passing the electronics, she says all the TVs simultaneously go to a 2K14 trailer video, then as she passes the 360 stand the video screen atop it starts playing another 2K14 trailer, she said it was an "omen" and had to buy it for me... LOL... anyways thought it was funny since I was boycotting CG14 for not having practice plays mode.
Anywho.
HOF CPU DIFFERENCE
So we all know that the CPU gets a background boost to their attributes as you go up in difficulty (if you didn't go here LINKY), some find this an acceptable approach to making the game more difficult and to be quite frank it does what it's supposed to do, make the game harder.
But I believe most of us would rather see the game get smarter to be harder than to make the players more than what they are. "More than what they are"? Yes, if JJ Barea has a 60 for strength rating (for ex) when I go to play him, should he not play as a 60 rated player in strength? I believe so, but yet on HOF in 2K he would be boosted to a 72, to me this is unacceptable, its no longer JJ Barea as he is intended to be.
This idea of boosting players attributes to me completely negates the ratings of players, whats the point in rating a player 'x' in whatever when you're just gonna jack them a bit higher because I want the game to be more difficult. Which yes it does do what I ask, but not in the manner I was seeking.
When I put the diff. up to HOF, I want to be tested to my limits, not only with skills on the court, but also with my mind. I want to have to switch up my offense because the other team switched to a zone for a minute, or started trapping half court, or better yet full court pressing the ballhandler only... you see that kind-of stuff in the NBA, College, HS, etc etc... but not in 2K. On Pro difficulty I could get over the fact that the CPU would be kinda basic, but not when I switch to HOF, I want to be tested, especially with SIM turned on.
But all in all that is a whole other issue on its own.
So to counteract these 'boost' you will need to reduce the CPU Attribute Sliders, listed below is exactly what you'll need to do for the HOF difficulty level.

Lol! Whatever your trying to sell I'm not buying! Cool story though! Haha
Yay. just wonder, the values are a little bit different than 2k13.and its a pain when i edit them in practice cause its not saving on exit.well anyway ill wait for your release. one thing for sure that should be toned down is FG% and too easy 3 point made.

to easy 3 pointers made? Me and the CPU shot around 30% all the time in 12min QTs. I see nothing wrong with 3pters. But yes FG% is high and so is pip.
