set all shooting sliders 18 clicks

new sliders, i play on HOF so i guess you gotta use superstar...for now anyway

leave everything at default...then place both lay-up success sliders at 16

lay up success at 16...thats all you need


oh...HOF allows you to play 12 min quarters, with realistic stats every game....EVERY GAME...thats if you put lay up success at 16 of course

im not sure if this is correct but;

shooting sliders and player shooting ratings avg out

so if peja has a 98 mid range rating and the mid range shooting slider is set for 20 clicks, which means 50 percent...his mid range jump shot in game will be at 74 percent


i think this is how the shooting mechanic works...

when you lower shooting sliders, the AI has to find a way too keep the percentages down, not just for shooting...

it tries to take away oppurtunities, also, for you to score...thats why you'll see a lot of blocks steals and turnovers...but it is more prevelant when you turn DOWN shooting sliders

obviously, if you turned them up...there wouldnt be a need for a lot of blocks steals and turnovers, due to almost all of your shots "dropping"

2k5 produces realistic results, but it is hurt by the way the AI accounts for blocks steals and turnovers

so;

if you turn up shooting sliders, you get realistic "minor stats" and higher shooting percentages

if you turn down shooting sliders, you get unrealistic "minor stats" and lower shooting percentages

its a doosy, isnt it

hmmm, very interesting

just finished a 12 min quarter on HOF, with lay up succes at 16...pistons/lakers(Me)

the pistons only shot 28 percent, while im shooting 52, up by 16...maybe your not supposed to change sliders after all on HOF


i'll play another quarter and let you know

for those who own LIVE 2005

Global Sliders: set all to 50
User Sliders: set all to 50 then;

on ball physical defense to 0
shot block ability to 25

Same process for CPU sliders
