Want to go back to 2K20 but all saves/rosters are corrupted

Anyone got a workaround for corrupted data in old 2K games?

I put TONS of work into my 2k20 rosters & tendency edits, now upon reinstalling the game I can't access any of it.

Is this due to the servers no longer being operational? Is all my hard work lost forever?

I came to the conclusion that they corrupt all the old games saves because it gets you to buy the new games.

I have this problem with almost all of them. 16, 17, 18, 19 etc. You could try to Google the old fixes of the old games. I think I remember one was to reinstall and remove some of the saves namely the profile of the save.

. But it's been so long I honestly cannot remember. It's a tradition after they shut down the servers your game saves get corrupted. The conspiracy guy inside me says it's intentional to get us to move on to the new one.

Alright Dave, thought you had been quiet. Have you lost interest in 2K23?

I also lost all my saves on 2K20 as well, it happened when I disconnected my xbox from the internet.

I don't think it is intentional as you could still have up to 3 saves offline in the old version.

I thought I backed up what I had. Wiped the lot, all my caps, shoes and whole season's worth of rosters I spent two years working on.

I feel your pain, but as far as I know there is no way of recovering unless you saved it to an external drive. Sorry mate.

I hope I'm wrong, I still miss my 2K20 experience, I don't play modern era.Strictly retro hoops for me.
