Why all the silence about 2K9?

On 2k's official site they say they'll have new info today at 7pm et.

Last year Gamespot released their first real hands on report on August 23rd, IGN on August 30th.

Blacktop and the new slam dunk contest got a little pub before that, but, nothing of substance was released until late August.

We should be getting some info and maybe a trailer this month because thats when we started getting info last year. Besides 2k is always late on giving out info but thankfully when they do release the info its usually worth the wait.

I'd say we already started getting info on 2K9 with the Updated Features List a couple weeks ago. Sure they're behind Live with videos and new features announcements, but sales aren't made two months in advance.

Guess it'll be like last year: The actual game (not Blacktop) was shown behind closed doors at Leipzigs Games Convention for the first time.
This year, the public exhibition is from 21. aug. till 24.
Aug, 20th is the day for the media guys.
