I really like/respect Kellogg as a college basketball analyst and commentator, but I've never associated his voice with the NBA.
I understand he's the color commentator for the Pacers, but 2K should get a guy who's known for the national broadcasts.Comment

Re: NBA 2K9 Video: Jazz vs. Bucks
Redd's shot doesn't look quite right.. seems too slow -- his shot last year I thought was nearly perfect because it had that quick "catapult snap" to it like his shot does IRL... anyone else with me on that? I'm not one who nitpicks that kind of stuff though really
I'm with you....Redd's shot is way off....I'm a Bucks' fan and I could tell right it away that Redd's shot is not correct....in real-life he kinda just flings it or quickly snaps it from head level....like catapulting it....why would 2K change it and make it worse?Comment

Don't know if this got mentioned, but I was just compelled to quit the video and say two little things were really cool to me:
Ridnour gets a rebound about a minute into the video that rolled down someone(AK?)'s back/arm, I don't remember seeing the ball interact like that on the court before, it was more magnetized unless it was hitting the rim.
And then the Jazz's next time down the court Okur gets the ball in transition and takes a really quick, slightly forward stepping shot in rhythm, rather than just stopping, planting his feet and slowly jumping straight into the air.Comment

I agree that it is too slow, though.Comment

They didn't make it worse. Everyone wanted a new shot for Redd last year because he cocked it to one side and his off-arm (right arm in Redd's case) moved spasmodically inward. It was quick, and the fadeaway was good, but it didn't look right. At least now he cocks it over his head instead of over his shoulder.
I agree that it is too slow, though.
My two cents.....
I looked at all the videos but this one truly impressed me.
2K really took the next step. I truly belive 2K10 will be the new NFL 2K5 and get a perfect 10. I feel if they fix the footplanting, the commentary, adding classic rosters and put the All Star Game into the Association it would be a perfect 10Comment
