    Offensive Rebounds:

I've cut the o-rebound slider all the way down and the defensive rebounds all the way up and there are still way too many offensive rebounds for the computer... I just don't get it. I play my heart out to get the computer to miss on HOF and they get the offensive rebound over 50% of the time. Do understand that they rarely miss, but when they do they often get a second chance and the defense never has a chance after the rebound because they all have collapsed and went for the rebound that they never get. It ends up being an easy score or a foul. Anybody got any tips. I rarely ever go for the rebound myself... I play with the point guard.

The irony is this, I almost never get an offensive rebound, but then again, I have to keep my crash the boards slider nearly all the way down to try to stop d-rebound fast break that the computer gets so often. It sucks that the comp is so sure, so confident about getting the rebound that the guards can take off every time to catch the outlet pass down court, yet on the other end, we can't even get the ball unless it has fallen through the net.

The balance is very, very poor. I have to deal with this along with the comp being so much faster than my guys, playing so much better d than my guys, passing so much better than my guys, and to top it off if we do stop them, rebounding so much better... that just ain't cool.

u obviously cant hang in hall of fame
turn down the difficulty if thats the case isntead of complaining

i always have my crash the boards all the way up tho
dont think i get beat in fast break points tho they might get like 6 or 8 tops a game

Some teams are better rebounding than others. If you don't have a good rebounding team find a better one.

I don't have this problem but I don't play at HOF. There are numerous people who have said that playing on HOF is going to result in better CPU play....this is part of it.

        Re: Offensive Rebounds:

My ego won't let me drop the level... my games are still close with all the b.s. I play with the Hornets and I always play against the Celtics... I'm guessing it'll make me better. I can win in superstar, and now I have to win in HOF, with my teams help or not. Lol.

          Re: Offensive Rebounds:

As a matter, just give me one thing realistic - rebounds, fewer fast breaks, better passing (no dumb bounce passes at stupid times), or better computer player d... I'd be winning. Just one is all I ask for, because to have them all would be too much, I know.

HOF isn't for realism, its for challenge. I don't know why one would even bother with sliders if you're going to play on HOF.

I just play on All-Star. I've only slightly tweaked the sliders and i get very realistic games. blowouts every once in awhile, a lot of tight games. I just racked up 10 offensive rebounds, (like 3 in a row at the end of the game) and held the Nuggets to 1. (i have Marcus Camby on my Grizzlies though)

I play on all star also but am having trouble getting offensive boards. I average like 3 per game with the Lakers! The cpu usually gets around 10 offensive boards. Im still messing with sliders to get a good overall balance of stats. I am very pleased with my FG% for myself and the cpu. Im at around 48% FG, but if I raise my Offensive rebound slider, I fear that my close competitive games will become blowouts because of my second chance points which might go up due to more Offensive boards. So I guess I have to sacrifice the Offensive boards for now. My leading rebounder is Gasol, with around 9 total rpg on 9 min qtrs.

The only sliders I tweaked were close range and mid range, moved that down to about 42. Don't forget about your team strategy too. I use the Grizzlies so I have my Fast Break and Crash Boards sliders all the way up. Works like a charm.

I sound like a broken record with this but HOF MODE is CHEAT MODE. Stop playing on that mode and then complaining that the CPU cheats. This mode is not meant to be played to get a REALISTIC game. Turn it on PRO and/or ALL STAR
                      Concrete evidence/videos please

DRAMATIZATION: Okay!! Okay!!! *streaming tears* Oh why have the basketball gods forsaken me so! You are right! You all are RIGHT and I know it. *More tears* and - though my best friends can play it and win and blow the computer out by 20, and I so want to do the same - I shall play HOF no longer!! (at least not in seeking a realistic experience) *tears and snot bubbles*

Ya'll right thanks guys and I am ruining my whole 2K experience trying to make a square peg fit into a round hole. So what level do you play (Superstar/Allstar) where the computer heroics are diminished a bit. I figure I want to just enjoy a good game of realistic bball. I don't mind losing, I'm just a stickler about it looking as much like a real game as possible, no player names, no help messages and wish I could hide the play menus and the circle below the players... so which mode makes them play most according to the laws of physics. lol

For real, thanks guys, I'll try some other modes
