    Re: nba2k9 for laptop

I doubt it. CPU is extremely slow and GPU is just as bad.

      PC Help

I posted this on the official 2k sports page but I figured can't hurt to put it here too.

I picked up NBA 2K9 today for PC. I loaded the game and menus were slow (but as I've read that's normal). Whenever I've tried to get in the games, I'm able to play for about 2 minutes. Then my sound starts to screech, it freezes, a blue screen appears (quickly, so I'm unable to write down the message), and then my PC reboots.

Any ideas on how I can fix it?

        Re: PC Help

I had the same issue you have. I ended up taking the SoundBlaster Audigy 2 card out of my pc and using my onboard sound option. Since I did this, the game plays flawlessly. I am starting to wonder if all of the problems with this game can be traced to the sound.

I hope this helps you. Good luck finding your cure.

If you get a blue screen and the game crashes, download new sound drivers. Should solve your problems.

Used my on board sound card and the game worked! Cut scenes were still slow and a bit choppy, but the game plays great. As for updating my drivers. I couldn't find them for the sound card. I have the same one as Bubba. So if anyone could point me in the direction for those I'd be gladly interested. I tried looking on creative's site and failed.

PC version laggy as hell when I have high FPS

OK this game is buggy cuz when I have it on Ultra high player models it get's laggy as hell and I have 60FPS. When I turn it to high it plays smooth but I like jersey movement and turning it on high disables it. This is on a high end PC. Anyone know how to fix this bug?

it can't be laggy and 60FPS at the same time.

Your computer specs would be the main culpret in the game running slow for you. If you know you have a pretty good computer, then a graphics setting is causing it. But again, if you don't have an upper level pc, there's not a lot you can do. What is the specs for the computer you have?

NBA 2K9 PC Rigs - Optimal Performance

I wanted to just compile a list of information, all in one section, for the guys who have purchased nba 2k9 pc version, and are running it on the most optimum level...If you all could, please post your specs here, cuz I'm very much tempted to invest in a high end gaming pc & hd tv cuz I have been burnt by the dreaded 3rl disease, and I feel I can get more out of a pc as well for work / business related things...but mostly nba 2k9 and such..

So all lucky owners of nba 2k9 pc, please share your specs with us - -
