wanna talk about missed potential? Dajuan Wagner was a monster at Camden HS here in NJ. His hype was insane especially once he dropped that 100pt game. Injuries really killed him more than anything, and that first year in cleveland didn't do him any favors as well.

Ronald Curry was the greatest high school player I ever seen. Him and Bubba-Chuck (A.I) was monsters on the court and on the football field. Ronald Curry chose the wrong school and should of picked one sport

Kenny Satterfield is a guy who I loved at UofC here in Ohio. Damn shame that he didn't stick around.

God Shamgod had some run in Washington didn't he?

Khalid Al Amin?? At one point Boston fans thought he was the second coming.

Khalid seemed relatively decent for the horrible post-everyone Bulls, not sure why he didnt stick.

I think we're now outlining players who's high school hype didn't quite match the rest of their careers. I thought Dejuan Wagner was gonna be a bigger Iverson(might have been if he hadn't got hurt) and Ronald Curry was the greatest athlete i've ever seen before his many knee surgeries(had the greatest football move at UNC i've ever seen while playing qb). I remember those days when Rice and Christ the king were pumping out nba players year after year, but Andre Barrett and Omar Cook seamed to have ended the trend.

Russell Robinson was alright, and that lurch looking mofo Shagari Alleyne was horrible but new york has really fallen off in the last 6-8 years. Lance Stephenson is pretty damn good though, lets hope he can signal an age where the NY is producing top players again. Hopefully some of them will stay home for some of the local schools too.
