Auto pick & roll and easy baskets

Last year I got the best out of the game by not doing a single pick and roll. This year the big men do it automatically, leading to several easy baskets. Even worse the opponent double teams my point guard no matter who it is, leaving my big man open for a pass and a dunk.

What can I do? I already have screen success on 0. I can set dunk frequency, hands, ball handling and layups for user to 0 and blocking 100 for the cpu, but it will ruin the rest of the game.

try to raise the defensive awareness of the cpu. They may still double team the pg a lot but when the d awareness is up the weak side rotation is much more fluent and effective.

I already have def. awareness at 100. Playing at HoF level too.

are you one of those people that think sim means all mid range jumpers or youre cheesing?

not one single pick n roll in 2k8 eh? sorry to tell you but you wrent playing real basketball either...

although i agree the cpu has a problem doubling up on the pg no matter who it is but i guess thats just hardcoded defensive strategy for them. my big men arent left with open lanes tho theres always someone rotating to help. whenenever i ask for a screen using the right bumper they always pick and fade/pop, not roll...they only roll when u ask for pick n roll

You don't have to ask for anything. When you don't call a play your 2 and 3 will run off screens and your 4 and 5 will most likely make a screen for you. Then you (the PG) are double-teamed and your big man runs to the basket. Doesn't happen every time but in a full-length game you get dozens of dead easy points that way.

It seems no slider can remove it, only your big man's ball handle rating can keep him catching the pass when he's making his way to the basket.

And speaking of the type of person I am and 2K8, I don't want there to be a way where I can be 100% sure of a basket. There's no play in real basketball that can be ran any time in a game with 100% success. Here it's not a case of that, only I think you get these points too often.
