PC Version 360 Controller issues?

I just spent about 45 minutes searching threads to no avail.

I just installed the PC version and it updated with Steam. When I start the game
I have to go into controllers and remap movement and several other keys, not that I want to, its because they're not mapped at all. Movement is linked to no buttons, sticks, nothing...

Anyone know a fix for this? Is there a good file downloadable somewhere that will fix this?
