You know it is convenient to say that the runs happen to often when they happen to you. So when they happen to you, you tend to
1. Exaggerate the amount of the comeback
2. Exaggerate how OFTEN they happen
3. Exaggerate what happens during the comeback
It kills me when people always say they miss everything and especially open shots when the CPU is making their "magical" comebacks; but then those same folks will make a post asking why it is impossible to get open shots in this game

That's my point DC.
One thing I've noticed is people say that the CPU hits ridiculous shots when they are hot... anyone watching the Knicks game last night can say that about Wade as well.
Seriously though, when your own player gets hot, you can have him make some ridiculous shots as well.
When people take a step back, the game does a lot more right than the vocal few give it credit for.
Played a game the other night, living rosters with minor adjustments on Pro, and Dirk went off in the fourth. I could not stop him, including a 2-2 from 3pt. range. The CPU found him open looks and got him the ball.

Yea, I don't think the runs are too heavy. A lot of times it is user error, dumb turnovers or acting desperate to stop the run so you start forcing shots. Personally, I don't mind the runs at all, it's all in the game. I found that the clutch factor slider seems to control the runs. I have the CPU at 25 and User at 15 right now and it seems to be the right balance. Before I would have too many games where I would hit s spurt (with clutch factor at 0) and completely discombobulate the CPU and win by like 40 with the Knicks.

I have always like the way this series handled runs. They are portrayed pretty close to what's seen IRL imo.
Another example is the Rockets vs. Bulls game last night. The Bulls came back from about 17 down in the (4th qtr) in that game. And outscored the Rockets 34-14 in the last period.

I'll still say the runs happen way to often outta nowhere. Usually when runs happen it's because the other team does something different than what they have been doing OR an emotional thing can spark a run or the other team gets lazy.
In this game runs just pop out of the air whenever AND they happen EVERY game. Not just some games or alot of the times but EVERY game. Now that I see the gave the Knicks some TRUE love with the latest update I'm going to see what becomes of this game because if my theory holds true then there are some things 2K really needs to work on how the game does things.
I look at the Knick game against the Heat and thats what happens when you use the Knicks EVERY game. But if you've been watching the Knicks this season you'll see that the Heat game was NOT the norm for them. That was one of the few games this year you can honestly say they completely blew it. But as far 2K was concerned EVERY game they completely blow it.

LOL And doesn't that happen in the real world?
Damn DC I thought the reading comp was better than that lol jk
What I'm saying is those are the reasons why runs happen in the NBA but in this game the other guy could do the same dumb thing over and over and all of a sudden he can run 15-0 on you when before you had it shutdown for no reason. Look at every superstar in the NBA. When they get on a runs they usually start it by setting something up different than what they were doing. Noticing some weakness and exploiting it to the hilt. Thereby opening up everything else they wanted to do.
