2K8 was Smoother then 2K9 in some places

Hi guys, this is a highlight video of our 2k8 multi user franchise me and 3 of my friends had going on for a long time (we used Ultra Sim Sliders). Anways I made this video a LONG time ago and totally FORGOT to put it up anyways here it is.

What struck me was there were some thing in 2K8 that look just like it would if you did something similar in real life. 2K9 is a step up dont get me wrong. But after watching this I think we can all agree 2K8 was damn cool too.

As a sidenote my criteria for using replays are they have to look real in other words like it happened in a real game or like it could have happened in a real life game. ENJOY

took a lot of work to get all that from my 360 to the comp over 200 replays which I wittled down to the best 50 or so.

I feel like I have more control over my players on offense and defense in 2K8 as opposed to 2K9. 2K9 lack that player control. Every single time I triy to go for a steal in 2K9 my player would run pass his target and I hate that or every single time I try to go around a player on offense for a fast break I will lose control. Any 2K developers who is reading this please fix that in 2K10.


NBA 2K8 was alot more fun to play than 2K9 by a long shot.

The orginal 2k basketball was smoother than 2k9 in some areas. There are times when 2k9 is downright jerky and almost all of the players are too quick

i felt that the players in 2k9 reacted a little slower than in 2k8...i rented 2k9 and decided i didn't like it because of this issue (as i saw it to be).

Wow. I never played 2k8 but just by looking at the vid some of the gameplay seems to run alot smoother and it seems everything goes in the flow rather than the jerky animations and movements you get in 2k9. Must admit though the graphics are much better in 2k9.

2k8 was definitely my favorite. If anything this video shows how great VC captures animations. Everything looks so lifelike. The game really shines from broadcast angles.

2k8 was smooth but i didn't like the graphics too much. It actually had a lot of jaggies.
