Arena Sounds
the arena sounds in 2k9 was pretty good..but i want to hear a different PA announcer for each home-court game. for example, when Kobe scores a bucket you hear how that guy says Kobe's name? or the guy that screams Dwayne Wade's name when he dunks. and im tired of hearing Kevin Harlan as the commentator, and Clark Kellogg **** is mad repetitive now, lol get some on like mike tirico n bill walton againTags: None -

Re: Arena Sounds
They just need to expand on the arena sounds and as for the commentary it is not the commentators that are repetitive, they just need new lines to freshen up the commentary. They should have something like dynamic commentary where they can add new lines as the season goes by so the commentary wouldn't get old.E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

It's like people didn't even play the game. All those arena sounds that blog talked about were in 2k9.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

Exactly. The Beat LA chants, Ric Flair 'wooo' at Hornets games, MVP chants among others are already in 2K9. They just happen in certain situations. Maybe people need to tune their sound settings as well.Comment

They really need to if that's what's happening cause even if I stream music on my 360 I can still hear all of the stuff they have.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

Never said that this stuff wasn't in NBA2K9, I know its there. Just making the point of 2K trying keep ahead of Live in the audio presentation part of the game since EA is finally trying to make strides in this area, and hoping 2K pushes even further.Comment

Re: Arena Sounds
Speaking of arena sounds, I was playing some team (can't remember who) and missed a free-throw or turned the ball over and heard the Nelson (from the Simpsons) distinct "HA HA" laugh. Anybody know which arena that is 'cause it was pretty freaking cool.San Antonio Spurs 5 - Time ('99, '03, '05, '07, '14) NBA Champions

Re: Arena Sounds
The main reason I think Live can kill 2k in this area is because Live actually uses recordings of "real" games as their crowd. 2k makes their own crowd noise, it sounds artificial and not realistic in a sense. Now that live is gonna be adding all the little sound quirks that 2k has but they're gonna be the "real" actual sounds and not made up in the studio like 2k has. Another area I would like is for 2k to turn up the arena audio, sometimes their crowds are sooo loud that you cant even hear some of the audio.
But real talk, Live is just now getting it as far the presentation is concerned. All the stuff they are talkin about is in 2k9 now, with the exception that Live's sounds are authentic.Yeah so in summation I don't know who you racing I'm already at the finish line with the flag waving, c'mon!Comment
